Hey there, sorry for the confusion on that. Were the cards you had registered close to expiry? Or maybe declined by the card issuer in recent times? In any event, confirming the card is always a good option as it confirms you as the card owner meaning our security system will be more inclined to allow you to use it.
Here’s how to link and confirm your credit card:
Go to www.paypal.co.uk and log in to your account.
Click ‘Profile’ near the top of the page.
Click 'My money.'
Click 'Update' beside 'Debit and credit cards.'
Click ‘Link and Confirm My Card.’
Click ‘Save and Continue.’
When you click ‘Save and Continue’, you authorise us to charge your card. Don’t worry though! You will be reimbursed for the amount. Your card will be charged £1 exactly and we will also send you a unique, randomly-generated four-digit PayPal code.
After two to three working days, you should be able to see the charge on your online card statement. Alternatively you can wait for your next paper statement. You will find the four-digit PayPal code, next to or near the £1 charge on your statement. In the item description, the code will be printed between the words 'PAYPAL' and 'CODE'. (e.g.: PAYPAL* 1234 CODE).
Once you have the details from your statement, you can then confirm your card by following these steps:
Click ‘Profile’ near the top of the page.
Click 'My money.'
Click 'Update' beside 'Debit and credit cards.'
Click ‘Link and Confirm My Card.’
Enter the 4-digit PayPal code and click ‘Submit.’
