Lifting limits - VAT

I'm trying to lift limits and the form keeps asking for VAT number, which I don't have since co. isn't registered for it. How can I get around this?

Leave it blank, that section is optional. It should state this on the form itself?

But  the form is rejected if the VAT field is left blank, even although it says it is optional.

How do I get around this please??

John - it does say this on the form, unfortunately it is not working as it should, i keep getting an error message and it highlights the VAT section saying that it needs to be completed!

Hi Strokes_sports

 

When you are filing out the form you will be given the option to leave the VAT section blank if you have chosen the business type as individual. One of the first questions on the form is business type. Change this to individual and then you will be given the option to leave the VAT section blank.

Hi Paula - I though that might be the case.  I have a Limited company which is not VAT registered, so I am not able to tick "personal company", which would be inaccurate, but I have no VAT number.    What should I do?  Thanks in advance!

Hey there, you could just input the numbers “000000” as a work around just to complete that section.

how do lift the limit? VAT application filed pending approval. but the window keeps asking me for VAT number for lifting limit.

HI goldfella1,

 

It sounds to me that it just needs to be reviewed and finalised by a team in PayPal. If you wait a few days, this should be resolved on your PayPal account. I would leave it between 24 and 72 hours and if its still saying the same thing on your account, try contacting customer services and we can try to escalate the issue as soon as possible for you to the relevant department.
