The customer service process in Pay Pay is the typical sub-standard service one should expect from a company who obviously has problems. My experience of was nothing short of horrendous. At this juncture it is not worth my time to even explain the whole mess, other than to spread the word to avoid Pay Pay customer service at all cost. Do not engage in conversation, Do attempt to contact, do even consider Pay Pal customer service as an option if you encounter any problems. This is simply a a warning, and my advice would be to proceed at your own risk. mainly a colossal waste of your time. I post this only as a public service to other customers to look for other outlets for your business.

They net it out if you have any balance left that you have not transfered to the bank - then it will not
show on your bank statement - I guess that is what you may be wondering -

I find it almost impossible to get a proper answer to my problem. I cannot get my product, or my money back. The seller says he refunded my money, never got it or the product. Doesn't say much for the safety of buying through Paypal. THis is the second time I have had a problem receiving my purchase. After much hasseling the seller I DID finally get the product, six months later, the last time this happened. In that case just plain determination paid off.
THis time I am so disgusted, I will probably never use Paypal again for a purchase.

I am in the same situation. I have never had a problem with PayPal. But today I am getting the run around and my money appears to be in cyberspace.

What a sad story! Tell me more! I would like to avoid the business's you are getting pinched by!
What problem?
What product?
What Seller?
What safety?
When did you do the transaction?
Was the PayPal Customer Service representative evasive because they were tired of complaints which are fully answered in PayPal FAQ's that they look up a hundred times a day?
Sheese! PamelaC has just posted, while I was adding my curiouser and curiouser reply, in almost the same way as you.

Paypal service is worse than useless...I called because they wouldn't let me pay $10 with a $1,000 paypal balance. So this is how the conversation goes:
Me: [explain problem. ask for help]
Paypal: "Are you married?"
Me: [thinking I must have misunderstood] "Excuse me. What did you say?"
Paypal: "Are you married?"
Me: "What the H3ll does that have to do with anything?!"
Paypal: "I'm transferring you"
[Call ends]
Not only do they not help you at all, their phone answerers are unbelievably unprofessional and will sexually harrass you if you are a woman.
Before ebay bought them, paypal was a good, useful company. Lately they're playing fast and loose with their customers and their customers' money.
After this experience, I transferred my entire balance out of Paypal and left only a token amount in my account that was linked because I have doubts about their honesty. When I talked to my bank about this they said several people had had problems with paypal removing money from their accounts, locking their paypal money so they couldn't use it and so on. The bank (who didn't have anything to gain because they knew I wasn't going to use a merchant account from them) pointed out that Paypal is not subject to the same consumer protection regulation that credit card companies and banks are (such as it is).
So imagine a credit card company (and we know how they love to skrw you) without any recourse or regulation to protect you. That's paypal.

I am surprised at the disgruntled people who are UNhappy with Customer Service at Pay Pal. I have
had very few issues, tho somewhat new to Ebay online shopping. Each issue has been sucessfully
resolved. EVEN one issue with a seller who did not take returns did accept the item back and my
account was credited either by seller or by the Pay Pal policy to back the price of a return. THANK YOU
Pay Pal Customer Service People.

I have always resolved my issues with Paypal. I haven't spoken with a live operator and still have gotten good results from customer service. I have cancelled payments to sellers when I haven't received an item and never have had a problem getting my money returned from Paypal.
I enjoy the confidentiality I get when shopping on the internet. My credit card information is safe
Of course I would like all transactions to be handled instantly, though I understand that is not realistic.

That seems a little harsh...but I guess I'll have to make my own mistakes....but I'd like to try it out for myself. Thank you for the warning though. Ya can't say I haven't been warned. I'll risk it.
