Pay Pal Customer Service

The customer service process in Pay Pay is the typical sub-standard service one should expect from a company who obviously has problems.  My experience of was nothing short of horrendous.  At this juncture it is not worth my time to even explain the whole mess, other than to spread the word to avoid Pay Pay customer service at all cost.  Do not engage in conversation, Do attempt to contact, do even consider Pay Pal customer service as an option if you encounter any problems.   This is simply a a warning, and my advice would be to proceed at your own risk.  mainly a colossal waste of your time. I post this only as a public service to other customers to look for other outlets for your business.

I have to agree with @FinalWord on this one.  I've contacted paypal customer service several times for the same issue and no one seams to have an answer, they seam lost and confused, and they get offended when they have no idea what I'm talking about. I'm coming to the conclusion that the majority of paypal customer service representatives have no clue what they're saying. Only when you get transferred to a 2nd level support they understand a little more.

I also created a ticket under paypal.com/mts and the person answered the question just to close the ticket, but never made sure I was satisfied with the answer.

In conclusion, I think that paypal has to provide better training to its CS team, so they can really help us, of just close that department and let us figure it out on forums or better tutorial pages.

From FEED-UP!! Customer Service Sarah is an absolute joke!! I clearly described important information concerning the removal of the debit/credit  payment option IF you have a paypal balance. The only other option is echeck which is a joke because it takes 5 BUSINESS days and you and the seller have to wait and this means having to wait longer for you to receieve your item. BULL**bleep**!!! After listing my concerns  "Non HUMAN Sarah" comes back and says can you simplify??? I then got annoyed and asked to put this through to a real person and fake SARAH says I'm not sure I've understood. Could you please rephrase that? What the **bleep** is this - I don't have all day to re-write the same question over again and again until she understands it. This virtual customer service is again another Paypal change that hasn't  helped a bit!  Virtual Sarah should be changed to SUCKER! Because paypal keeps taking more and more away from the customer  (us) who have made them the big business that they are today. If it weren't for us they wouldn't be here!! Now we all have to find other ways to do business with ebay buyers and let paypal feel the sudden decrease of paypal transactions.  Good luck to all who are currently having difficulty getting issues resolved. If paypal wasn't so **bleep** **bleep**ed up I wouldn't be taking all this time writing this and I wouldn't be thinking of other ways to conduct ebay sales.

I have a refund supposedly, it was supposed to be released 3 days ago, but it still hasnt gone back to my account, then I noticed I have a payment to paypal for $12.98, but no record of it in my paypal account, so I have no idea what it was for or where it went. I have tried customer service, none of their topics cover this, Sarah is no help, have to agree sarah is a joke, and cant get an answer from anyone anywhere. A live person would be helpful, if paypal has such a thing. How can you get anything resolved when your problem isnt even listed and if you dont check one of the boxes, they wont let you even email them. I think they do this so they can get away with anything and dont have to talk to anyone. Or solve any problems. All I want is some answers.

Hi - i have the same problem as you wrote in March - and, i am experiencing the same problems - NO WAY to write to Sarah!!!  i tried to go through "email them" - but everytime i put the ID number in which i know is correct, it comes back invalid.   I just wasted my lunch 1/2 hour trying to just reach out to them and ask where is my refund from March 10th.

please let me know if your issue was ever resolved.

this is very frustating.

thanks,

flojo

You hit it on the head. I learned the hard way in the last couple of weeks. My situation is also TOO lengthy to go into but it has cost me over $800.0 to date and Pay Pal has admitted the error but doesn't think they should have to resolve it!

Thanks for the heads up.  I was just wondering how I managed to post a product twice, even though I did get the purchase done once, without accidently making the same purchase twice.  Also I was wondering how to remove the second note of the same product so I don't find I accidently purchase it again, just to be safe rather then sorry.

-------After reading all the posts on the subject here, "A Little Advice I Thought About just to clear my own head"-----------

Incredible!  It is happening all over the world.  Live chats with human beings gets me a variety of response's which sometimes are pleasant resolutions and other times just...Whoah!  Did I sign up here without really realizing what this place is here for and about?!

I gather that many who I have talked to are looking up the answers, as I am on the phone with them, on the Internet.  I find it better to look up the information myself and save myself a lot of time.

Incredible as it seems the Internet customer service isn't being run and operated by a bunch of people who are all that LEGAL TECH SAVVY.

The fact of the matter is, "for minimum wage you have to hire people who are, at best, minimum wage mentality".  To anyone who is going to start a business I recommend you realize that before you start your business.

Sorry old friends, I was at one time a minimum wage earner, and am now, only, smarter because I took to the Internet for a better education.

I saw a familiar sight on the freeway yesterday as I was driving back to the house.  I saw a reflection of my past, "a hitch hiker" and since I did not slow down to give the person a ride he gave me, and all the other passers by, the finger sign of disrespect for not helping a poor jobless person reach their next destination.  I wasn't going past the next exit so I did not take it personally.

I can relate to the poor service people are getting in Customer Service.  I also can relate to the lack of my old comprehensive reality reasoning with the full meaning of the legal eeze on this sites sign up rules and regulations.

Thanks to this post it is clear to me that the lawyer who wrote those rules and regulations, we had to agree to before we were given permission to use PayPal, isn't answering your calls.  I have not called customer service as of yet.

In truth our neighbors high school graduate, son or daughter, who got their deploma under the valedictorian wire, so they could get a job answering phones and reading us the fact of the matters about our account business, is the one answering our everyday calls.

I hope I don't make any big decisions on the Internet without first being aware of that latter fact.  Or make any big plans within the cooperate ranks of buiness without having a business corporate lawyer on my payroll.  Thanks to this post I probably wont get any more serious with Pay Pal then I would if I bought a new shirt at a store.

I'm chiming in to reinforce the complaints about custormer service.  I can't get clear, unified answers to questions about the PayPal Plugin, which has been withdrawn from use without explanation.  One representative whom I talked to by phone did take the trouble to e-mail me and let me know that the reason the plugin no longer works with my browser is that is is no longer available.  When I made an e-mail inquiry as to why the plugin has been withdrawn, all I got was an obviously packaged answer about how to install it!  Obviously PayPal has acted arbitrarily and precipitously on this matter and refuses even to address the question of why they did it.

Thanks for the Update.  It is certain the Customer Service assist is failing you.

As for the Plugin it was not functioning with Firefox while it did with Internet Explorer 7.  The plugin failed on me several months ago and was triggered somehow to enter my password without my confirmation when loading it up from the plugin.  I did not give the plugin software permission to save my password in set up when using it with Firefox 3.4.  I uninstalled it and cleaned out the files within Regedit.

I wont use the plugin, Period.

Will examine the traits for cancellation to determine if they have a clause which will hinder that progress.  If so I will notify account sharing point at banking depot to stop future service with Paypal.

You might want to do likewise.
