Whenever I buy or sell something and send or receive money through PayPal, and there for an email gets sent out via the paypal system, for some reason there is a Delivery Status Notification (Failure) email attached. This was never an issue before until recently and it seems like it coming from Google as a daemon but originates as a receipt from PayPal. Mail Delivery Subsystem <mailer-daemon<AT>googlemail.kom> ***edited as Paypal does not allow this to be as is by community rules.****
I have also changed all dot com addresses to dot kom addresses to avoid this.
Further, my email address is *********<AT>gmail but for some reason the TO: form is listed as "myemailaddress+caf_=jamescclol=yahoo.kom<AT>gmail.kom" Here's partially what the body of the text states, Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently: jamescclol<AT>yahoo.kom Technical details of permanent failure: Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. We recommend contacting the other email provider for further information about the cause of this error. The error that the other server returned was: 554 554 delivery error: dd Sorry your message to jamescclol<AT>yahoo.kom cannot be delivered. This account has been disabled or discontinued [#102]. - mta1052.mail.sp2.yahoo.kom (state 18). ----- Original message ----- I would like to know what the issue is and if there is some type of a security threat, I have checked eBay settings, PayPal settings, all email settings and there are no issues I can see or have been able to find. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Below you will find the rest of the message, I am editing my email with "********" for security purposes. There's no security issue here, so you can relax.
What's happening is the paypal computer has your email address wrong - it thinks the address is
jamescclol=yahoo.comAT gmail.com.
You need to take out the section that i've marked in bold.. Your email address will be in your profile section, which is a tab on the main page of your paypal account.

I've tried this before and just did it again and the email is correct as before.
Nothing has changed for years and it still shows up as 'my-email-address<AT>gmailDotCom
So yes I checked the profile section of PayPal.
Again, this isn't something that has been going on for a long time but it has been happening for the last 2 - 3 weeks now whenever I pay for something using PayPal, usually purchases on eBay.
What else could this be? I checked gmail settings and found nothing out of the ordinary.

my-email-address<AT>gmailDotCom
But, before, you said that the stuff was goiung to (your email address)yahoo.com<at>gmail.
Proper email format is (name)<at>gmail.
If the email is with yahoo.com, the proper email address is (name)<at>yahoo.com. <at>gmail has no business being there.
The problem is that you have 2 email providers listed in the email address.

My point exactly.
My email is <AT> gmail NOT Yahoo.
And for some reason they are both there.
Luckily the other person (Yahoo) doesn't receive anything as their accout is closed or whatever as this is a delivery failure notice by the daemon but still I see a major issue here either way.
So again, my email is AT gmail not Yahoo. Both show up.
Thank you, any and all help is certainly appreciated.

I asked you to check your PROFILE SETTINGS IN YOUR PAYPAL ACCOUNT.
And you checked your settings in your gmail account.
Do what I asked you to do and you'll likely find the error there.

As my previous replies state, I have checked the profile section of PAYPAL. I have ALSO checked my email settings. NEITHER have anything there. My email address listed with PAYPAL is proper and nothing out of the ordinary is happening there. Is there anything else I could check being that PAYPAL settings are all fine from the looks of things, and gmail settings are fine as well.
Maybe I should take a screen shot and put it here in case anyone is thinking I am unable to do simple procedures?

Thinking about it.
Just kidding.
Well, since ebay is involved there, however peripherally, check the "Preferences" page in your ebay account as well. You can find that in the site map. The link to the site map on .com is at the very bottom of the page, on all other ebay's at the top right corner.
See what your registered email address is there. The preferences pages have been known to 'rearrange' the data spontaneously from time to time..
See if you find anything there.

Thanks I checked that as one of the first places and all looks fine.
I am refering to eBay's preferences and notification settings, etc, etc.
Not sure where else to look.

I'm running out of ideas, myself.
Have you called Paypal and talked to their technical services department? That's about the only thing left to try.
Their number is;
US/Canada
1 - 888 - 221 - 1161
or
1 - 402 - 935 - 2050
4:00 AM PST to 10:00 PM PST Monday through Friday
6:00 AM PST to 8:00 PM PST Saturday and Sunday
Note, If you're trapped in the the phone maze, press Zero.
The good news is that it doesn't look like any sort of a security threat, anyway.
