PAYPAL HOLDING PAYMENTS

I too have just discovered that PayPal are holding back payments on my account
I keep my account in good order, always post items as a soon as I recieve payment, have 100% feedback good DSRs, what more does this 'outfit' want? its obvious isn't it, the want even more interest, we are even paying interest on our ostage charges as these are incuded with the selling price of an item.
None of the rules for holding payments apply to me so why all this nonsense.
Some buyers do not always leave feedback which is not the fault of the seller yet the seller gets penalised.
I shall be closing my Paypal account and going elsewhere which also means closing my Ebay account. At the end of the day I am also a customer and expect better treatment than this.
Have read through the messages and note that the seller can contact Paypal once they have recieved feedback so as t get funds released. Why should a seller have to do all this.

we should sign a petition an take action against them. This s..t affects everyone, sellers and buyers in the very same time. How we are protected ,as sellers? we should send the items after 21 days and that's it.

hi all
i have just spoken to someone who knows about this sort of thing , and have found out that this is a form of fraud, the fact that we have done nothing wrong and that people and happy with us but paypal still think it is within their rights to hold OUR money for their iinterest rates is fraud, it would be a different case if we had actually done something wrong.
if we all work together and find out who is the boss higher than paypal we can make an official complaint, if all of us do this they will have to review. if they dont i suggest we all ring keith reids in the court of human rights, and let him know that we are being subjected to fraud and see what he has to say, then paypal will have to stop this insessive nonsense and give us what is ours

@ mRunhappy , if you meet the criteria for no longer having to be liable for payment holds, then you should not really be liable. Please contact again if the holds are still being placed on your account, and we do apologise if you feel you received poor service.
@21sunny0up, why not leave a query here or review the other threads for a possible solution.

Hi there notveryhappy,
I understand that the payment holds can be an inconvenience to you but they are in place simply to protect both buyers and sellers. Although I realise you may not feel this way, I can only give you some information as to why they are being placed.
Before a hold is placed we review many factors including transaction activity, business type, past customer disputes and overall customer satisfaction. Here are some common reasons for holding payments:
• You have been an eBay and PayPal member for less than 6 months, and, have limited selling activity.
• You have an eBay feedback score of less than 100 and do not have a record of good performance
• You have a Buyer dissatisfaction percentage of 5% or greater than 5%
• You have an average Detailed Seller Rating (DSR) of less than 4.5
• You have received fewer than 20 Detailed Seller Ratings in the last 12 months
• You have a high rate of customer disputes
• You’re selling in a high risk category or industry such as, but not limited to, tickets, travel, gift certificates, computers, consumer electronics, or cell phones
• You have a spike in selling activities or begin selling in a category without an established history
As you may be aware, there are three ways of having your payments that are being held released to your PayPal balance. Your funds will be released when one of the following occurs:
• The buyer leaves you positive feedback
• 21 days pass without a dispute, claim, chargeback, or reversal filed on the transaction
• You provide a tracking number which shows that the item has been delivered over 3 days ago
If you do not wish to call us to provide a tracking number, you can also email us through your account and we can have your payment released for you once we can see the item was delivered.
I hope this information helps .
David.

Hello I understand the hold process however I sold an item under this account and 2 items under a different account. I bought the labels from paypal had the signature confirmation so that you would know when they were delivered and everything. The item under this account the buyer even left feedback so you know it has been delivered and the buyer left positive feedback and still have no money released. I have waited almost 2 weeks since they have received there items but I still cannot even use my money. I am getting incredibly irritated that I sell my items and the buyers are obviously happy with there purchase but I can't use my money because you want to keep holding my money when you say it will be released when the item is deliver or they leave positive feedback which you can prove both. So why is my money still not released.

PayPal do not know you have feedback until eBays software tells them. Ring PayPal and give them the item number and ask them to check that feedback has indeed been left, they will release the hold whilst you are on the phone.
