How do I see my payments that are pending/held?

I recently sold something and I got a emailsaying that PayPal was holding the payment. I go to my summary and activity but I can't find the paymnet. Does it not show until it is released or something?

Sounds like a scam.

Paypal NEVER tell you to send an item before the funds are showing in your paypal account balance.

Even if pending they would still show in that balance but have pending by them.
