Buyer claims item wasn't as described.

Hi I had a buyer buy claim that items I sent him were copies. I had a bulk lot of videos for sale which were specialist interest  (Anime / Manga) so are worth more than normal film videos. He paid £45 for 29 videos (including courier fees) even though the listing was originally for close to 150 videos and pick up only. He specially wanted selected videos and wanted me to post them to him via courier which I did.

Now he claims even though leaving me positive feedback that they are photocopied covered with blank tapes inside. Which without sounding too harsh is total crap.

The only proof that I can provide is to either video or give photos of the remaining videos that he did not want to prove that ALL my videos that I had up in the listing were 100% original genuine videos.

They were all part of a collection that I had accumulated over years...

Does anyone know what I can say to Paypal to help me with the dispute this buyer has raised?

Thanks

Hi there Burlz,

When a buyer opens a claim for an item significantly not as described we will review your buyers issue and your response to the buyers claim. We will then make a decision if the case will qualify as a significantly not as described claim. If we do accept the case we will generally request your buyer to provide documents confirming their statement in relation to the item they received. If we do not accept the case, the case will close and the held funds will be returned to your account.

May I suggest that you review the case in your Resolution Centre regularly to ensure that we are not requesting any information from you and to view any updates that we may have for you on the case.

I understand that my response does not directly answer your questions however there really isnt anything that you can say to change to progression of the case.

Thanks for posting and please update us when your case is resolved.

Hey there, those sound like really frustrating cases for you. Disputes and claims are always stressful and that’s why we try and get them resolved ASAP. As to why your buyers are filing disputes, I cannot be entirely sure. I would encourage you to give as much information about the item that you are selling in your listing, the more the buyer knows about the item they are going to purchase, the better. Do also remember, that buyers will consider your overall feedbacks when looking at your site. Good luck for future transactions.
