Reversed payment

Alright essentially my bank made a mistake and reversed a payment. I don't know why, but I removed it from my paypal as it's no longer my main bank account. It had more than enough money in it so that wasn't the issue.

None the less, the company who I bought services from did not receive the money and opened a dispute. Paypal asked me to pay the negative balance, which I did with no hesitation. My concern is two factors;

1) By paying this balance with an immediate payment will the company then receive it
2) How long will this process take.

Thank you because I have no experience of this and would like this resolved as soon as possible.

1. Have a look at your paypal account - did the negative balance go down by an equivalent amount to the payment?  If it did, then paypal grabbed the money, as it has the right to do.

If the negative balance stayed the same, check to see if the guy got his payment, just to be safe.

2. The process ought to happen right away.  Even if you sent an echeck, the guy would get notification that he'd been sent an echeck.

Yes, the balance went back to 0. So wait, that mean's paypal took the money and did in fact not send the money to the seller? That's really my concern. This is a company by the way, you essentially buy points. I bought $30 worth and my paypal account claimed -$30, I immediately paid it. So is the money claimed by paypal or do I have to send another $30 to the company?

I wouldn't do anything just yet.

I was talking to another poster yesterday that did what you did and Paypal took enough money to take the account out of the negative PLUS the amount they wanted to send.

Perhaps look at your bank account to see what's actually been charged.  It might take a few days for the transactio to show up.

Gemini -

If you resolved your negative balance after the bank stopped or denied a payment, then the seller has been paid and any case open due to the issue with the bank should be closed.

If it's not, then click on "Contact Us" at the bottom of the page and give PayPal a call to find out what else may need to be done.

if your other poster still had a negative balance, then yes, the negative balance would be added on to the payment being sent.  As long as the balance (if you have multiple currency balances, all the different balances) is/are showing as zero, then there's no need to worry about additional charges.
