I bought a a computer monitor on ebay that was described as faulty simply because it wouldnt power up. There was no cosmetic damage described in the listing and when it arrived I found that it had been damaged due to poor packaging, the screen stand had moved around inside the box causing the screen to become severely scratched. I paid £368 for this monitor knowing that I could repair the power problem but now it is worthless because the seller didnt package it correctly. Seller has refused to refund and after opening a case, ebay have found in their favour because the listing mentioned the word "faulty". Ebay Buyer protection is useless. Please, Please Please could Paypal help me!!!!?????

Hi chrcon,
If you already had a case opened with eBay you will be unable to open a case with PayPal as you can only open a case on one or the other. If you didnt get the resolution you required from eBay then may I suggest that you take it outside of PayPal. You can contact your local trading standards office or your citizens information centre for further assistance.
Sorry I cant be of more help
Paula
