Its a spoof/fake email. They are hoping you may reply or it may be an email trying to get your details so they can scam you.

If the money is not in your PayPal account ignore it.

If the money is in your PayPal account is it not possible that someone gave the wrong email address for receiving payment.

Refund the payment via the original transaction and just put as a reason received in error.

Hi there ,

Can anyone help ME?

I am a new seller, and i sold a few things. i have recieved the following email :

Thanks for using PayPal. You can now send any items. To see all the transaction details, log in to your PayPal account.

It may take a few moments for this transaction to appear in your account...

On my paypal it says payment recieved. But on my debit card it is not showing up. I'm a bit confused. What can i do? Please help!

The same thing has happened to me. I don't know where my money is. The buyer has had an email to say the funds have been taken out of their account. I am also a new seller. Our money must be in cyber space somewhere.

Hey there guys,

Brbrister, the phone number is 08707 307 191. I regret that there is no specific number for a particular person.

Weezy, the funds will credit to your PayPal account balance. They will not automatically credit to your card. You need to withdraw the funds directly to your bank account; you are unable to withdraw to a card through your PayPal account.

Avaraver, check your PayPal balance and transaction details. If you received payment and then sent any payments through PayPal, the funds in the balance would be used to fund your payments.

Willson, have a read of what I have said to the previous posts above, if none of these match your issue then its possible the payment was sent to a wrong email address. The email address on your eBay listing needs to be the same as the email address you have confirmed on your PayPal account.

Here's how to find the email address that was used in your eBay listing:

  1. Find the item you sold and click 'Sell a similar item' under 'More Actions'.
  2. Go to the section 'Decide how you'd like to be paid', which displays the email address where the payment was sent.
