Am I protected for purchases I make to India and China?  If so, are there any limitations or restrictions on the amount or type of protection?

Best to review PayPal buyer protection policies for more information.  Click on the legal agreement link at the bottom of the page for more information.

In general, buyer protection does not depend on country of origin; you get the same buyer protection from all countries.

Buyer protection is for item not delivered.   If the seller fails to show item delivery, buyer can get a refund.

PayPal buyer proteciton does not protect buyer against poor judgement decisions.

For disputes about a delivered items, there is no buyer protection.  If buyer winis dispute, buyer must pay for return delivery, including tracking.  This is the same for all country origins.

Buyer has the responsiblity to evaluate risk for all purchases.

Limitations,there is time limit.

If the seller said it would take 45 days to deliver, then you cannot open a case on Ebay until 45 days past!

Some venues allow 60 days for you to file a dispute.

If you open a case and win,you pay return shipping with tracking which can be expensive and if $750 or more, signature confirmation.

Always pay with a credit card in case if you cannot file with Ebay or Paypal, then file chargeback with your cc issuer.
