How to recover a pending transaction

i tried to buy an item on eBay. Due to their own internal website problems, company cancelled order and say they have issued a refund. However on PayPal the item remains in the 'pending' area. How does it get refunded? There is no issue with the company, they seem as keen to resolve it as I am but I don't know what I need to do next

If this is an Ebay listing,go to My Ebay and find the listing and click on order details and see if it said cancelled.

The eBay listing says order cancelled. 

The seller seems to be saying I need to do something to recover the money 

i don't see how I can move the amount from 'pending' in PayPal

Does the Pending recorded transaction in the Summary or Activity say Accept or Deny?  You want to click Accept.  What was the payment method used in PayPal to fund the purchase, your linked bank account, credit card?
