Paypal asks me to return already returned item

Hello and thank you for your time.

 

 

I bought motherboard from ebay. It was in a horrible condition and was non-working (claimed to be used, fully working). I send message to seller - no answer. I saw another people complaining about same problem in his feedback. After couple days this user is no longer ebay member any more. 

 

I failed ebay dispute. Seller of course did not respond and I won the case. Ebay granted me the refund if I were able to return an item back.

 

I did ship the item back with the same tracking number as I told to do so. Problem for me was that Item was transferred to me outside US and I need to send it back to US first, and then to loccal carrier. ebay gave me 10 days to ship, but it was physically impossible to send item back to us from the other side of the world in this short time. 

 

Item was delivered to the seller as tracking showed me, but I was not eligeble to a claim any more as I could not managed to ship this item back to us within 10 days.  I can't contact seller, because he is obviously a cheater and do not responds. So I left with no money back and my purchase was gone.

 

I did not know what to do, as I'm relatively inexperienced in returns. I found out that I was able to dispute the transaction on paypal too, and I did it. 

 

I told the story in comment, with all the evidence and screenshots. Told them that item was delivered back. Seller of course did not respond and paypal granted me with a refund. But here is the problem - They ask me to return an item(?!)

 

As I see, it all goes automatic and I doubt that somebody even read my message of explanation.

 

They ask me to provide tracking number within 10 days, again. I am checking original tracking but there is no more any information about return. It only shows item's original delivery.

 

Please help me - what can I do? 

 

I have an evidence on ebay claim history that Item is delivered back. But I am not sure anybody even checks my comments. 

 

Should I enter original tracking? Should I try to contact paypal in any other way and try to explain them?  I feel in a terribly unfair situation. Lost my month's salary, lost an item, and on top of it, lost money for return shipping witch was quite high.  

 

Sorry for the long post. I hope you advice me something.

You said you have returned the item but Ebay said it is too late .

So you filed with Paypal and they want you to return the item and show them the tracking number.

Now did you keep the tracking number somewhere?

Look into My Ebay and look at resolution center,is the original case still there?

if it is there,is the tracking number there?

How did you pay for the return shippping,do you have the receipt?

Is there a tracking number there?

Which carrier did you use,can you find the tracking number from your carrier?

tell us more,where are you and what carrier did you use,how did it get into the country?

and look under resolution of My Ebay and try to find the case you open,look for your tracking number which Ebay tells you it is too late.

Also if you can call Ebay or go back to the case you open on EBAY and appeal their decision,tell them it takes more than 10 days to deliver ,they should understand /

It is the Ebay robot which look at the case and decide it is too late,an Ebay person would understand,try APPEALING.

I have an original tracking number. It is not a problem. Problem is that an original tracking number does not show that return any more and just shows original delivery.

 

I still have ebay case, and there is a record in case history that item is delivered back to seller. I can screenshot it, or paypal can access it by themselves, but problem is, that I do not have an option to express myself. Everything is automatic. Paypal dispute skipped "requiring your action" step, because seller did not respond. They apparently did not read my initial comment where I present them all the screenshots and evidence. All automatic there. How to reach them? 

 

I did appeal the case on ebay, but they refused me. They told me to contact the seller directly, even if he was not ebay member any more. Can't explain them that seller is a cheater.

 

What a horrible situation to be...

A Tracking number can be used only once.

The original tracking number is used by seller to ship the item to you.

then you returned the item,you said there is a tracking number,where is it?

and where is it coming from?

this is the tracking number you should enter on PAYPAL.

when and where did you return the item and what carrier did you use

I used http://www.barami.ge/?lang=en - This site. Package was sent from Georgia (Country) To united states. It was delivered to seller at 29 June, If I am not mistaken. (Ebay case was closed at 24 june, so it was 5 days late).

 

They told me in the carrier company that it was ok to return the package with the same original tracking number that was specified on the arrival box (I send item exactly as it was arrived, with the same box, invoice and etc). I googled and found it was common to use same tracking number for return. 

 

Original tracking number ACTUALLY SHOWED me the status of delivery, I clearly remember that. But for now it does not. 

 

 

I  sent an e-mail to usps and asked about that tracking info. I will also be able to get an invoice from this carrier company that proves item is returned, but paypal just does not listen to me. all they want is a tracking number...

 

I wrote paypal yesterday, with all the screenshots, all the evidence, but I feel that money and item is lost... 😞

Looks like I can't write the tracking here. When I enter tracking number in post, it does not allow me t osubmit, unfortunately.

The tracking number should be just a number or a series of numbers and letters.  The need a simple number, no html references and no links.  PayPal needs a number, not a link to a site.

It is frustrating to deal with Paypal,once a case is escalated to get Paypal involved,you or your seller cannot make changes .

email PAYPAL,in reference to case so and so and add your screen shots etc,if the tracking number no longer is on the carrier website,it must be old,how old is it?
