Known Issue: Payments not appearing on sender or receiver's account

Update:  Engineers are reporting the issue with transaction delays was fixed late last night (around 2am ET).  Typically a transaction may take a few minutes to appear in the account activity and we are back to that normal behavior.  Thanks for your patience during this issue.

Hi everyone,

Our engineers are aware of an issue right now where payments are not immediately appearing in the account activity for both senders and recipients.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and our engineers are working to fix this as soon as possible.

This issue appears to be causing a delay in when the payments appear.  The transaction is initiated, it's just not appearing on the website for up to 4-5 hours in some cases (the time appears to be random).

I will update this post when we have more information and to let everyone know when the fix has been implemented.

After almost two hours on hold I finally gave up.  If I don't get resolution soon, I will have to escalate it.  Pretty new to PayPal and not impressed so far.

I am also having this issue as well. Sent payment to someone, and they haven't recieved it, nor have I gotten anything in terms of notificaton regarding if this payment being sent, not even a "Completed" message in my history.

This is absolutely rediculous. I would like something, anything in terms of confirmation of "Hey, your payment went though, and the person this was sent too is going to get their money" vs the thought that the Paypal device ate my payment.

This has happened to me 2 times so far today for eBay payments.  The payments did finally come through abuot 3 and 1/2 hours after the purchase.  Ebay is acknowledging this issue and claims the payment messages are going to PayPal and not getting excepted on PayPals end.  I don't really care who's problem it is, but it sure needs to be fixed immediately.  I am choosing to not ship until payment shows in PayPal even though eBay says go ahead and ship. We are going to get negative feedback on this and both companies need to get together and erase all negative effects on seller accounts.

Alright! Happy ending on my end. While hunting for the Customer service number to scream at a living body, my payment went through!

For 2 days I've had no issues, now the issue has popped up again. I have plenty to pay this seller but it won't let me send. I've talked to a paypal representative before but all he said was "wait 1-2 hours to try again or have them request money from you". I want to know how long till this gets resolved again, cause this is rather frustrating to me.

I received the email yesterday at 2:45 pm that I had been sent a payment. As of 9 am today the money is still not showing in my paypal account. I understand that it sometimes takes a few minutes to show up, but 18+ hours is a bit worrying to me - plus this is my pay for work, and I have bills to pay. What's up, PayPal???

I sent money days ago, it showed up on my end and appeared to work but the seller still hasnt recieved! This is getting ridiculous, anyone know whats going on?
