How can I resolved the 1st issue of  when they want me to confirm a credit/debit card number that I don't have any link to them? And also I try to put a new credit/debit card to resolved this but in says below the CAN'T DO when you have limited account.

I Already sent a bulk of email to them but they more likely sent a generated email, because they have same answer with my different question that they pushed me to work with the list to resolved the limitation on my account that is imposible to fix because I don't have any credit/debit card link on PP to confirm.

What can't I do while my account is limited?

  • send money
  • withdraw money from your account
  • close your account
  • add money to your account
  • add or remove a card
  • add or remove a bank account
  • send refunds

Hello Ichie,

I am so sorry to hear that your account was limited.  Nearly all limitations are placed because we have security concerns and need you to verify that you are the account owner.  I can see that needing to confirm a card you no longer have access to would put you in an impossible situation and the best advice I can give is to ask you to contact our customer service directly by using the "Contact" link at the bottom of any PayPal page.  A specialist can look into it with you to make sure that your account is secure and that you can regain access to it.

I hope this helps and thank you for participating in the PayPal Community Help Forums.

Thank you,

Michelle

Hi Duke,

I know it's very hard to make a formal letter in this case, but what I do is I just tell the whole story / problem and the conflict to verify on my part. Like for example, 'I don't have a credit card to verifiy my account so I tell them that how can I verify my paypal without a creit card to use in it? And how can I complete the step you gave me when I wasn't able to make an actioon?' Because if you do have a limited access on your account, you can't able to add or remove a credit or bank account. A simple question for them is a way that can help paypal support to help you easier to solved your problem

And lastly, I just don't get the one way communication aroud. I also used to send a message on they're facebook page. That's way more faster to talk to them rather to send an email on paypal support that sometimes I think only answering machine that talk to me. Because it always the same answer gave me with different question. Sound funny Smiley Very Happy But it's worth waiting, so be patient. Remember that when you calm your self you have a more time to think.Smiley Happy

Hope this help you out!

All the best,

ichie

I've been having the "limited access" problem for several weeks.  I've exchanged several emails but haven't received a satisfactory explanation.

The alert says there was "suspicious" activity linked to a credit card on my account and gives a date.  Problem is there's no activity for that date on my PayPal account or on my credit card.

After the last email I asked for documentation showing this "suspicious" activity and never received a response back.  Guess that was the wrong question to ask.

It bothers me that I'm basiclly being accused of something but I'm not being given any information that I can verify to try to solve the problem or even be able to understand what happened to start with.

Looks like I'm not the only person here having this issue so one has to wonder what is truly going on.  Any advice is welcome.

PS-The resolution center doesn't list any steps for me to follow, which is why I resorted to sending emails.

Hi Toymice,

Just try to talk to them on they're facebook page. Just give them the case id and give them a simple and straight forward story of the problem you faced. That's help me a lot and also gave the paypal support an easiest way to help you out.

Hope this help! Smiley Happy
