I've used PayPal for the past 5 years and have never had an issue at all both buying and selling. PayPal and eBay both operate within their terms and conditions which YOU agreed to when you signed up to PayPal. Why expect anything different from what they say they are going to do?   If ya don't like it, don't use it. Simple as that, no one is forcing you to. Keyboard bashing definitely isn't going to stop a collossal company like PayPal.   ... View more

There is an option, it's called Authorisation and Capture and it is available to certain businesses on PayPal. The order status shows as pending until you fully 'accept' and capture the funds once the stock is ready for shipment. Best bet is to give customer service a quick call and they will be able to see if your account is eligible and get that set up for you. ... View more

Anything you sell on eBay will come straight through to your PayPal balance. You will have to withdraw it to your bank account directly.   This goes to the sort code and account number rather than any card details. The last 4 it shows is the last 4 digits of the 8 digit account number, not the card number. The bank account doesn't expire so it should be okay providing it is the correct bank.   check the 'bank accounts' section in 'My Money' to make sure that you have the correct one set up with PayPal, if it has gone to an old bank. Check with your bank to see if they have the funds in a holding account to be released to you.   Hope this helps!   🙂 ... View more

Sounds like the email address that was used on the eBay listing either isn't confirmed or doesn't match the one on your PayPal account. This can stop payments from showing on your account at all.   The easiest way to check how the listing was created is go to 'My Ebay', 'Sold' and then 'More Actions' next to the item you are awaiting payment for and then select 'Sell Similar' from the list of options on the drop down box.   You will see a section in there which is payment methods or selling preferences. It will say 'PayPal:' and have an email address next to it. Confirm that email address on PayPal if you have access to it. If not, provide the buyer with the correct email on your PayPal account and have them send the payment directly through PayPal to you.   Hope this helps!   🙂 ... View more

You can only make a withdrawal to a bank account linked to the PayPal. This would have to be an account that matches the country of your PayPal. For example, if you have a UK PayPal, you would have to withdraw to a UK bank account.   If you have a spanish bank account you would have to create a Spanish PayPal account, send the funds over to it and then withdraw it that way. Hope this helps!   🙂 ... View more

If a payment was pending on your PayPal account you would be able to see it in your Recent Activity or History immediately.   If nothing shows at all it could be that the email address the payment was sent to wasn't confirmed or added to your PayPal account.   Best bet is to ask the buyer to confirm which email address the payment was sent to. Even typos can stop the payment from fully completing.   There are some payment methds that can take a bit of time to clear however you would still be able to see it and an estimated clearing date on your transaction details.   Hope this helps!   ... Verified accounts are more secure and have sending limits lifted so it can allow larger transactions to go through.   There's not really an option to do it any other way I'm afraid. You could try paying as a guest user?   Confirming the bank can be as quick as a few mintues most of the time so it is still possible to get that payment through.   Hope this helps! 🙂 ... View more

If the bank transfer fails and the back up funding source (card) fails then that can cause a negative balance on PayPal. However when you are in the checkout, every time you will be able to choose the funding option for the transaction, card or bank. It just can't be set permanantly as the card.   When you have a negative balance it isn't as much of an issue as it is with the bank, there are no charges like going into an overdraft. As long as you resolve the negative balance as quickly as you can.   But this is only if both funding sources fail on the account.   Hope this helps!   🙂 ... View more

looks like that could be the two random deposits for confirmation of the bank.  If you go to the bank accounts section on your PayPal it will probably ask you for your two deposit amounts. There will be two boxes where you would enter: 13 06 This will confirm your bank account and make your PayPal account verified too, sometimes it goes through automatically once the bank is added on. Nothing to worry about, it shouldn't affect your current withdrawal. ... View more

Check to see if your card is confirmed, sometimes that can help put payments through. Also try topping up the PayPal account and see if that works. Sounds like it could just be the internal security system stopping the payment.   Either that or it's an issue with the recipient not having the account set up properly to receive funds. Hope this helps!     🙂 ... View more

When an order is 'Pending' no funds will be taken from your balance or linked financial. Sometimes card issuers put payments into a pending balance ready to be taken as soon as they accept the order. When it's down as pending it simply means that BHS haven't accepted the order yet so no funds will have been accepted either.   If you check through your statements you wont see the payment come out of your bank/card, if you do, it will just be sitting in a pending balance within the bank so the best bet is to get in touch with them if that is the case.   Hope this helps!   🙂 ... Also, If a refund comes back to your paypal balance and you don't withdraw it. Any payment you make will come from that PayPal balance so you might miss it coming in and going straight out. Again, the history will show where payments come from.   Payments can split in paypal too. So if you have a 10.00GBP refund on the balance, and then buy something for 20.00. We will take 10 from your balance and the remaning 10 from your bank account, this can also make refunds seem 'lost' when really they are just used to fund other payments.   🙂 ... View more

It depens how the reund was issued, normaly refunds are processed through paypal instantly unless they are sent as an echeck. If the refund is showing as 'Completd' on PayPal then that means it is already on its way to the card issuer and will be the standard timeframe of refunding to your card (Usally3-4 business days, it can take up to 7 though, depending).   🙂 ... Sadly there's not an option for that, legally PayPal have to send card payments back to the card issuer so it gets sent straight from PayPal there.   If you added and confirmed your bank account to make the payment the refund would come back to your PayPal balance. but cards have to go through a slightly different system.   Bit of a bummer but there's no stopping it sadly.   🙂 ... If you paid with a credit or debit card the refund goes straight back to the card issuer rather than to your PayPal balance.   Best bet is to check your history and select 'all activity with balance'. If a refund shows as completed you'll either see your PayPal balance go up by the amount or it will show 'credit to credit card' which is PayPal sending it to the card issuer.   If you don't see the refund initiated in your history that means they haven't sent it but the email suggests you did. Look for the date you received the email in the history and you should see what has happened.   Hope this helps 🙂 ... View more

PayPal can only really cover animals in certain cases and I don't think horses are included, just things like small tropical fish haha. If the customer issues a chargebck with there bank and the bank allow the funds to be pulled back, PayPal would not be able to remburse you, this only happens in certain circumstances.    If the transaction is outside of eBay then it will most likely just clear straight to the account, it may go on a security review just to make sure the transaction is legitimate.   If it seems a bit dodgy in the language they are using then it might be best to offer cash on collection, that prevents any way of the bank pulling the funds back.   if they insist on PayPal, only agree to hand the horses over once you can definitely see the funds avaiable on PayPal but as I said, I'd advise cash on collection as PayPal can't cover animals under seller protection. ... Payment Reviews either take 24 or 72 hours. It will tell you when the review was initiated how long it will be.   Once the review completes (this is usually down to the minute) the normal process of transferring to your bank account starts, this can take 15 minutes to 2 hours to complete.   If not, get in touch with Customer Service and they will be able to see a more deailed note of how long the review will take.   Hope this helps!     ... If no security reviews are flagged then you won't need to wait for a personal payment to come into your account/ be withdrawn. Normally, withdrawals take a few minutes to 2 hours to complete to your bank. In some cases security reviews can apply which take 24 - 72 hours to complete but these are rare depending on the standing of your account. If you receive a payment for goods or services that you've sold then if it is on eBay, this can go under ship to funds, in which if you ship the item out with tracking then the funds are available 3 days after the delivery date.   But payPal will always tell you when a review is going to apply, or if you transction is going on ship to funds. But normally, it will be available in your balance instantly for you to withdraw through the faster payments system.   Hope this helps! Rob ... View more

Have you counted the New Year bank holiday? Also, if you make the top up towards the end of the business day, sometimes the process starts on the next working day so it doesn't include it if it was done in the evening, that can slow the process too. By end of the 7th business day (around 6pm) you should see it. If not, check the direct debit has been set up correctly with the bank as that can slow it down too. if not, give PayPal a buzz and they'd be able to investiage/put a trace on it if it is missing. ... You can't change the adress once it has been posted I'm afraid, It might be worth getting in touch with the sellers but most will not change as it can compromise the PayPal protection by shipping to an address diferent to the one on the account. If it is just a small typo though you might be able to get away with asking them to change it.   Best thing to do if not would be request a refund and make the payment again providing the full address. ... It probably is a paypal account in the past that you've totally forgotten about. It does happen from time to time. If not, then sometimes if the bank has been added to your paypal account before this can sometimes disable it if it tries to be re-added.   Best advice would be to get in touch with customer support, by email or phone (as painful as it can be sometimes) they can locate the bank or re-enable it for ya.   Some savings accounts can't be confirmed on PayPal however they can normally be added providing they have the standard 8 digit account number and sort code. ... It is a total nightmare when this happens. PayPal can't cover personal payments so it is up to the seller to get that money back to you.   However, if the payment was made through a debit or credit card you could get in touch with the bank/card issuer and have them issue a chargeback on the transaction stating that it was a scam. If it qualifies then the bank will be able to contact paypal and have those funds pulled back.   If not, try getting in touch with Action Fraud or Trading Standards and they might be able to help you out further.   Hope this helps!!   🙂 ... Sometimes if a payment from the bank account fails this can put you into a negative balance, the seller will still be able to process your order as PayPal has paid upfront. There are no charges for going into a negative balance.   Another thing it could be is that if a dispute has been raised against you for an item you have sold, this will cause the funds to be frozen and if you have already made the withdrawal this can cause a negative balance.   Best advice is to check your history and select the option 'all activity with balance' and you will be able to see step by step for exactly what has caused it.   🙂 ... Payment reviews go throuh because the securiy system has flgged it as risky. It could be a larger amount than usual or the activity on the paypal account is different to usual. These reviews can take 24  72 hours to complete then the funds will be sent to your bank account within 15 mins - 2 hours. Also PayPal is an e-commerce company and are unable to earn any interest on these transactions that are held on paypl or flagged by the security.   unfortunately the security system is totally automatic so there is no way to override it. ...
