There are a few situations when you might receive an email from PayPal letting you know that you have a payment to claim: The buyer has an unconfirmed shipping address. Items that are not tangible goods, items that are the equivalent to cash and access to digital content are not qualified for PayPal buyer protection so you can not get your money back trough a Dispute/PayPal Claim process.   Your last resort would be to do a chargeback/Payment reversal trough your debit/credit card issuer and try to get your money back that way. But that only works if you used such a card as the funding source of your payment.   Scammers are aware of this issue. But it is still good that you opened a dispute since several disputes against his account can cause the scammers account to atleast get locked.   How much money have you lost?             ... You have set up a pre-approved payment agreement with Facebook that enables you to pay without logging in to PayPal first. This can have been done if you checked in some boxes while purchasing coins or credits on Facebook.   To remove this pre-approved agreement log in to your PayPal account and click Profile> My Money and In the ‘My pre-approved payments’ section, click ‘Update’.   Here you can remove the pre approval if you wish to no longer use that option.   ... If it is a PayPal Claim then it is no longer in Dispute status. You can only communicate with the buyer when it is still in dispute status, so it appears in this case the buyer escalated the Dispute directly to a PayPal Claim. The awaiting your response message means that PayPal might want some information from you once they review the case.     ... View more

The name and address of your PayPal account must match the name and address on file with your Card. You can have more then one address connected to your PayPal account. You can add another address here:   https://www.paypal.com/uk/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_profile-address   When you click the Add Address button you will be given the option to check what credit card to associate with that new address.       ... Generaly when using a debit card the money will be on hold in your bank account. In my experience it can take up to 9 days for such a hold to release. When the hold is released, instead of the money being sent to the seller, it will just be released and available to use in your bank account.   So up to 9 days is my guess. ... View more

Generally no!   If the sender used his/hers Paypal balance or a credit/debit card to fund the payment then the transfer is instant (unless you are subject to a hold like the 21 day hold that you sometime suffer from when selling on eBay). If the sender used a bank transfer to send the money then it takes a few days extra for the money to clear the bank.     ... View more
