If you had an old an no longer active e-mail address connected to your eBay account that can cause the egg timer symbol to appear. If this is the case, just mail the buyer your correct PayPal address and ask him/her to send the money manually trough PayPal Send Money tab.   Perhaps you are subject to the 21 day payment hold policy? If that is the case PayPal will not release the money to you until you have shipped and provided a tracking number. Once the delivery status is changed to confirmed delivery the funds will be released within 3 days. If you can not provide delivery status then you might have to wait up to 22 days before the money is released. ... View more

When you add a bank account to your PayPal account . PayPal will send 2 very small payments to that bank account. It does take a few days.  Check with your bank account for 2 small payments from PayPal.  Those are the numbers that they want you to submit to confirm you have access to the bank account.   If you have done this and you have entered the wrong amounts 3 times then the bank account will be disabled and you must contact PayPal to have it re instated. I guess you will be asked again to provide the correct deposit amounts over the phone and they will manually verify the bank account for you.   ... View more

If it says completed then as far as you are concerned the item have been paid for. The reason for the payment pending status under My eBay either just means that the status on My eBay have not updated properly but the seller did get his money in his PayPal account. Or the seller is subject to a 21 day hold meaning he wont have access to the funds untill he provide a valid tracking number and the tracking shows delivered or he have to wait up till 22 days to have the funds released to him. But this is of no concern for you as the buyer, the seller is expected to ship out the goods out within 4 days after payment.     ... View more

Do you mean that this process did not work properly?   Click My eBay at the top of most eBay pages Under the Account section, click the PayPal Account link Click the Link My PayPal Account button. You'll be asked to log in to PayPal to finish linking your accounts.   EDIT: I just checked my self and when clicking the become verified button on ebay.co.uk then I am asked to log in to my PayPal account. After I log in I get a message that I am now a verified PayPal user. But I was already a verified PayPal user. And nothing changed with my ebay Uk account I still have the get verified button. Perhaps it is because I am not in the UK. It might be that the verify process on ebay.co.uk only work if you have a PayPal UK account and a ebay.com.uk account as well as a postal address in the UK.   Do you live in the UK?   ... View more

Why should I be forbidden to respond to posts?   I have the same right as everyone else to provide information I know.   You worded your post in such a way, that made me believe you wanted something shipped to a strangers address. But now you show me that screen shoot indicating you have more then one address registered.   If you have something shipped to either of those addresses then all is ok.   In this case I think only the address you select will be shown to the seller. Keep in mind that if you use a credit/debit card to fund the payment. Then that card must have the same billing address as the address you select in your account for the payment in question. I think you can have 2 accepted billing addresses for the same card tough.           ... View more

PayPal requires sellers to only ship items to a buyers registered name and adress on his/hers PayPal account. You can not ask sellers to ship to someone else. When you pay for goods, the seller will get the name and address and phone number that you registered when signing up with PayPal. At least if it is a goods payment and not just a payment for services.   So you are attempting to violate PayPal policy.   PayPal is all about security for both sellers and buyers. If you shopped from a serious Web Shop. They will most likely never abuse your personal information. PayPal is not about anonymity (with the exception of credit card and bank account data that the sellers will never see).     ... View more

I think that since a sellers PayPal account is linked to his account on eBay then if his ebay account gets closed, then his PayPal account will be limited as well.   First contact the seller and then if he promisses to send your item, then allow a certain amount of time for it to arrive. If nothing arrives or he do not even communicate with you then open a PayPal dispute and if neccessary escalate to a Paypal claim..   I have had no problems getting money back from sellers whos accounts have been closed. So no need to worry.     ... View more

Re: receiving credit card payments?new to paypal

From the Paypal FAQ:   " Can I receive payments if I have a personal account? You can receive money into your Personal PayPal account. However there is a limit as to the amount you can receive and the number of credit card transactions you can accept without upgrading to a Premier account. If you intend to use your account to receive commercial payments frequently, we would advise that you open a Premier or Business account or upgrade your existing account." So it seems you have exceeded either the number of credit card funded payments or the allowed amount of money being funded from credit/debit cards that you are allowed to accept. I do not know the current limits but I think it used to be a maximum of 5 credit card funded payments per year and a maximum of $500 per month. As part of the eBay/PayPal user agreements you agre to accept any PayPal funding source. Therefor it is in practice a requirement to use at least a Premier account rather then a Personal account when selling on eBay. The upgrdae is free and easy. Just because the payment is complete do not mean you have access to that money. What does it say under your PayPal balance? Can you see the money there as an available balance?. If you uppgrade to Premier the limit will be lifted and the money will become available to you. ... View more

I think it is the fact that you where unfortunate enough to have 2 disputes going on at the same time that devalued your trust in these cases and PayPal decided in favour of the buyers. It is strange tough that PayPal made the descisions prior to the alloted time frame you hade to respond.   As for appeals, I was not aware that you could make those. I think that once something is escalated to a claim and PayPal makes the decision then thats final.   Anyway I think Appeals can take up to 30 days before you get a response, so 7 days are not to long.         ... I have logged in on my account when I have been abroad and it was not limited because of that.. But then I had already verified my self with a passport and a utility bill. Perhaps PayPal have more restrictions on account holders that are not as well known to them, I do not know.    Anyway, there is no reason to not trust PayPal with your Passport. Millions of people have already done that with no issues because of that. PayPal will most likely not abuse your Passport.   I think you have to complete the security verification by sending in what is being asked for, then PayPal will review the case (usually within days) and unblock your account. If you do not complete the steps it will stay in limbo and nothing will be done.         ... View more
