Re: Shipstation international

Now it is called GlobalPost or something called like that. I've never agreed with those service but automatically the service was applied to ship to Canada. It should ship be shipped directly using the USPS label but it go to NJ and they relabeled (what?? I don't want to the 3rd party change the address I filled in and the custom). It was 7 days ago but the package is still Jamaica, NY. When I send directly, it was shipped directly Jamaica, NY and custom clearance. I asked PayPal to opt out the GlobalPost from my international shipping. This is like the GSP of eBay but the eBay case is they give a huge discount but this PayPal shipstation GlobalPost don't give any discount. It was same with the Click in ship price. I really don't know when my buyer can receive the package (just sending to Canada takes so long). ... View more

What problem is the web developer who made the PayPal/Shipstation system don't know the current USPS system. The most serious issue is this site have only 4 shipping methods you can select for the USPS. The all priority mail is charged as "by the weight", not the packing way, means no Flat rate envelop, no flat rate box, no regional box A & B. Also, they have no Padded envelop (Flat rate) , no Regal flat rate envelop. This is like the elementary school student made this system. I can not believe PayPal use this old style company like this. Something wrong. ... View more

This is nightmare. They have only 4 shipping methods you can choose. When you select USPS Priority, it is only CHARGED BY WEIGHT. You have neither option to select Flat Rate Envelop nor box. The system is very old platform. The developer who made this system does not know the most recent USPS service. PayPal/ Shipstation still ask you CONFIRM "Delivery confirmation". USPS does not allow the Delivery confirmation anymore. You have to select 1st-class Package option if you want to get Tracking (Not delivery confirmation). I was surprised to see the option "CONFIRM". What is this? Is this really for 2021 USPS service? This is not CONFIRM , it should be Extra service, then, the shipper should select, Signature option. The PayPal/SHipstation still have the Delivery confirmation option. Anyway, this system is too primitive. I don't know who made this system and why PayPal (the major company) use this company, Shipstation. I can use this system only for 1st-class package (Domestic). For priority you have to go anywhere because all Priority is charged by Weight in this system, no Flat Rate. ... View more

I used have a merchant account via other company and they charged the fee including the sales tax. However, the tax was collected by us not by the company. So, we see the amount in the sales report and we report the sales tax collected us to the New York state where we are located. However, for the eBay sale, we don't see the money but eBay collect the tax directly from the buyer. Also, we don't see any evidence that eBay report the sales tax to our state correctly from our sales. I've read about the Sales Tax collected by Market Seller (such as eBay, Amazon) via New York State .Gov page but they did not explain about that. In my personal opinion, since eBay collect it, eBay should pay the fee to PayPal because we don't know about the money where it is going actually. If the buyer ask us , we can't explain about the % and so on. The Sales Tax part is done 100% by eBay so eBay have the responsibility for the sales tax part. Then, why PayPal include it as our sale? and why we have to pay the fee to PayPal? It does not matter if the fee is small or large, I don't think t is the right thing. I will ask about this to FTC or some organization. ... View more

Hello, Since you have no option to e-mail (I tried to send e-mail but it was only the virtual response), I called the CS (Please read carefully of my posting) and she could not explain why. As I wrote, she watched totally different record from what I was watching in my account myself. SO I asked to send the record which she was watching, she told she could not but suggested to download the BALANCE AFFECTED. So, I downloaded but it just shows the payment amount , net amount. NO BALANCE FOR THE EACH TRANSACTION. I use neither face book nor twitter. These kind of questions should be on the PAYPAL SITE. Anyway I contact another organization and ask why PayPal can not show the correct record to the member. ... View more

I saw some people are same issue in the past but now 2020 there is the issue continue. When I got to my account and clicked activity, then activity affected, you can see the balance for the each transaction. However, the balance for the each transaction was wrong. For example, you have $200 and buyer paid NET $30 (after deducted the PayPal fee and sales tax collected by eBay), the balance should be $230 but the balance is always less than the real balance which is like PayPal charge the fee twice or charge again the sales tax. I contacted the CS and she checked my account but what she could see the balance and what I could see for the each transaction were totally different. I asked the CS to send the record but she told she can't. So, how can I figure out the hidden fee? She told I can download the balance list for the each transaction she could see and gave the instruction but when I downloaded the BALANCE AFFECTED, it had just the payment amount only, NO BALANCE FOR THE EACH TRANSACTION. Something wrong for PayPal. I use Paypal more than 10 years and this is the first time they could not calculate correctly or even calculate correct, they did not show the process to the member, us. STRANGE. ... View more

It does not go smooth as you tell. If you don't call to the eBay CS and ask to close, it is still there and since eBay does not give the specific time frame, we have to wait 1 & half month to wait the return in the past which mean you neither have item nor get money for 1 & half month. Meanwhile you receive the eBay invoice and the final value fee for the item is still there even though the return was not done yet. Now, you are charged the final value fee from eBay but no item, no money.   Calling CS whenever the buyer did not return the item even they requested Return, takes the seller's time too much and if you are not lucky enough to be able to get the correct CS, it is escalated wrongly and you loose the Top rated status (It happened us ).   Also, PayPal does not show the Reversal on that day to close. So, you don't know if it was reversed unless you check the sold date and click the old sold item list. It is really inconvenience.     ... View more

What the issue is  When it is eBay item, they did not clearly state how many days they hold the seller's money from their PayPal account without the item (not returned).   In my past expereience, we have to wait 30days. Still buyer did not return. Then, we have to call the CS and ask to closse the Return Request. This cuased total 45 days to get back the money.   We called eBay and some CS told that you just wait 10days and if the buyer still did not return, then, you should call. Some other CS tells that you should not do anything and after 30days, it will close automatically (It is wrong, anything automatically close, you have to call CS and ask to close the request). The eBay ways is very primitive way to handle . They have to give any specific period how many days the seller have to wait without their money and the product. Then, the period passed, they should close automatically and give the money back to the seller's account.   What the issue also is PayPal just tell "Oh it just because eBay dispute",NO,  This is not DISPUTE, just buyer changed mind and want to return.   I don't know how PayPal user agreement tells (How many days maximum PayPal can hold people's=seller's money without the money and product). If so,eboday knows, please give the URL.   Generally in online store market, when they received the buyer's Return, they give a refund. No merchant account company hold the seller's money without the returning product. If PayPal depend on the time frame to eBay, PayPal should clearly describe how many days they can hold the seller's money without the item the seller sold. Otherwise, the seller neither have no money nor product for more than 30days. It is not ordinally situation as a fund transfer company. PayPal should clearly state the time frame. ... View more

This happened me also right now. And PayPal decided the dispute in buyer's favor without any investigation of UK mail tracking (Royal mail) which exactly shows as they attemped but no the recipient is available. They should left a note that the buyer have to arrange the next delivery or picked up herself. However, she did not do so. Now, after PayPal took out my money from our PayPal account, I tracked the pakage and it is on the way to return us as a UNCLAIMED ITEM. I don't know it will successfully returned yet but it is really unfair system by PayPal. They don't do the correct investigation. I uploaded the all information which shows exactly the buyer's name and address are on the Shippoing record. The Seller protection never work. ... View more
