I have a Chase VISA card which is still non-chip.  I don't see it as a problem. At our retail events I accept chip and non-chip cards; it's not an issue.  I confirm the identity of users, so the chance of a user presenting a fraudulent card is very low. Many credit card purchases are online and the chip becomes irrelevant in those cases. If don't like a current brand of credit card, just use you consumer power and stop using that card and get a chip card from a bank. ... View more

Thanks for your suggestion, Jeff 63301, but I think I'm done with PayPal.  I have removed the plug-in from my browsers (no longer worked anyway), and now use PayPal for eBay auctions only and may drop them there, too.  So much for them since I only do eBay about twice a year. I now have a low-limit credit card (NOT PayPal) for online shopping and will use the BoA ShopSafe, too. Frankly, at this point, and with some further research, PayPal is just not worth the effort.  If enough people write them off, maybe they'll take notice (I doubt it), but it will be too late for them at that point.  "PayPal has died! SOOOO disappointed that they're dropping the plug-in.  It has truly been the only thing which enables me to use PayPal for ALL of my online purchases.  And the biggest reason I used it was the secure one-time card.  That concept was very innovative and gave me feel better about what could be done with the credit card number after my one purchase. ...
