A seller has an item for sale on line. I asked seller to send a PP invoice to my PP account, but they are having problems doing that. So they provided a PP email account for me to send the $440.00 to. Is such a payment protected? I have more than one email addy registered with PP. Should seller be able to send an invoice to any of those emails? Thanks

Yes, you know all this in advance; but those being directed to use XOOM via a seller do not know this because there is NO OBvious warning -- like there should be. If ppl are paying a fee, and see "we got you covered", they assume they are protected. THIS is shameful OBVIOUS negligence on the part of PP.

The POINT is that there should have been a VERY obvious warning SOMEWHERE... there was not. IN FACT quite the opposite. SHAMEFUL on the part of PP.

Seller's website offers purchase of equipment and offer PP option. PP declines saying to use seller's other payment options. Seller provides bank account info for XOOM transfer. ZOOM states it is a PP service and offers similar looking reassurances like "we got you covered". NOWHERE does XOOM state that purchases are NOT protected. PP also offers no such warnings, just how to link account.

Trying to make payment on some ebay items and on another site. Log into PP to make payment, get notice from bank that payment was made, then get an error on ebay or other site that purchase not complete. Transactions do not show up on PP history. Are these transactions that my bank reported auto corrected ' credited ' canceled?

I'm wanting to accept a PayPal payment for an ecard ' gift card I have on Craigslist. If I verify the payment in my PayPal account before emailing buyer the gift card #s, would this be ok? Or is there something else the buyer could do to scam me? Thanks

Email addy that has been used ONLY for ebay / paypal is now being FLOODED With Loan Application Confirmations that are using my full name. This is 2 days after a 2 star review and an Item Not As Described email. The company I made the bad purchase from is actually a network of at least 3 sellers on eBay selling the same items. Do Seller’s have enough info on me to take out fraudulent loans in my name?

Have spent hours on phone with paypal, my bank, and ebay support with no fix for some paypal payments being repeatedly returned. Maybe ebay is trying to force me to not use paypal, and thus force me to enter my credit card directly with ebay...??
