There was an unauthorized charge on my paypal account so I had to report it. However, paypal told me that they had to disable my current paypal debt card and send out a new one. That's great...however, I have no way to access my paypal money right now and I need some of it right now. I have no bank account so I can't link an account to transfer money. I have to buy some pants for a new job that I'm starting in a few days but I have no way to purchase them.  So does anyone have any suggestions of how I can purchase pants or anything else without my paypal debt card? I already tried Target and walmart but they want me to use a cc or a card with a number on it.  ... View more

I'm just trying to find out how to accept payments from my website when someone wants to buy something. I don't really want to use a paypal button if I can help it. I just want to provide a link that says something like "Buy Now with Paypal"....not a button, just text. Then I want it to go to the paypal page for the to accept the charge. It's something I've done many times when I tried to buy something. It was very easy.  But to find out how to do that without coming to these forums is impossible. I got to a page that has two options....one is "Paypal Payments Standard" and the other is "Paypal Payments Pro". The only thing is, they don't tell you how to set up "Paypal Payments Standard". Isn't that unbelievable???? They tell you there's a product but they don't teill you how to use it? I just granted permission for a website to offer ( I dont' know if I'm using the right wording or not), express checkout because it would be better for the buyer and seller. HA! I have been dealing with this website for 3 years now and have been very satisfied with it. BUT now that I granted permission for this, my buyers can't pay the shipping charge. Before granting permissions, everything went fine but now it's all messed up. I don't know who is responsible for the mess-up but I'm the one who has to explain to my  buyers that something went wrong and that looks bad for me. My advise to everyone out there is DON"T grant permissions for express checkout or you'll be sorry, having to try to explain to customers that they somehow have to go back into the invoice and pay the shipping charges.
