Holding funds from sellers until the buyer leaves feedback is the worst idea EVER! Since when does Paypal become an authority on buyer satisfaction?? A smooth transaction is all that I wanted from Paypal. If they are going to hold funds, then they should make it very clear BEFORE you use them! Keeping my money in their account for 21 days is a HUGE disadvantage of using Paypal. Stick to transferring funds, not trying to be a satisfaction authority!

#1 I'm not using "being disabled" as an excuse for having a bad attitude towards PAY-PAL apparently you need glasses to see that! I said that's the way I can make extra cash! Who do you work for "PAY-PAL DAMAGE CONTROL" ?You bet I have a lousy attitude! only towards people who **bleep** others for their own benefit. I will not run and hide when I see something wrong, I stand up and fight any way I can . I provide EXCELLENT service to my customers and make **bleep** sure they are happy. It is true that once the package leaves my hands I have no control over what happens to it. That's what insurance is for!! Seriously you need to get a different job, I have one up on you. I was in a company that used to sit around and think up polices like this, I helped change things & they made millions & millions . I've been retired at the age of 35. I sell because I like to spend A LOT . Maybe I should work for PAY-PAL , The first thing I would do is get rid of IDIOT advisors. B.P or PAY-PAL or you, what is the difference? The sellers anger is like the oil gushing into the gulf of Mexico, yes it will stop some day, but it will not be forgotten!! Something has to change.

It is true that once the package leaves my hands I have no control over what happens to it.
I did not say that you have control after it leaves your hands - I said you have a legal responsibility to ensure it gets to your customer as listed.
Insurance is for sellers to cover that risk - buyers have paypal.
I've been retired at the age of 35.
Then why are you acting like a 12-year old?
You come on here, purporting to be a seller, without the slightest idea of what your legal responsibilities are, hiding behind some stated disability.
NOBODY CARES IF YOU'RE DISABLED ON THE INTERNET.
Either you can do the job or you can't - it's the great equalizer. And you're not doing the job.
And don't whine to me about how it's so hard to get to the Post Office - USPS PICKS UP if you have deliveries - they'll come right to your door.
I know several sellers who are in wheelchairs - they don't do a substandard job and blame their disability - they welcome the chance to prove that they're just as good as the next guy.
AND THEY DO.
AND THEY ARE.
Now get off your butt and get your act together.

Well oh well ,Look who has the bad attitude ? It seems getting into you head is easier than I thought ! Who is ranting now? It seems that you are more worried about my physical disability than I even I am. Too bad you have to use your "friends in wheelchairs " to try to defend your own blindness. It seems that you look down on them, and everyone like them, ANYONE can see that you yourself have no real answer to why they put holds on perfectly good accounts. Stop beating around the bush. I've enjoyed watching you AVOID THE REAL ISSUE . You should work for B.P. "Shipping & disability is not the issue here". You seem to be missing the point again. If you tell me I like a 12 year old , You are basically telling everyone that a 12 year old KNOWS when they are being ripped off or treated poorly. I don't care about breaking the rules, I do my job so well I set the standard. Who ever said that I'm worried about the post office? They have done a great job ,I just don't want to do their job of being responsible for delivering the package to the door, that is what postage & insurance is for, so step off. It seems that they are worried about "theft by mail issues" I use insurance to take care of that so step off again. I don't have to worry about if I can mail out something, I have a staff for that, even if the mail goes by ,I can get it to the post office that day anyway. Not many people would do that for their customer ,But I would. What PAY-PAL doesn't realize is that the seller has the power to stop all the unfair policies , just go somewhere else to sell. Would you advise a seller with 100% positive feedback to go somewhere else? Be real careful with your answer the internet is unforgiving. In your mind you are telling yourself "it is time to start to beat around the bush" or are YOU still taking shots in the dark "yes" ? Hey advisor take some advise"shut up & stay down, don't try to get up just stay down, take the ten", You never answered the question and you never will. Honestly to do so , would be suicide & you would fall from PAY-PALS graces of damage control. Remember even this 12 year old KNOWS when he is being unfairly punished by a bad policy . So get those bowling pins out of YOUR butt and face the truth, Your ship is going down. Sir TITANIC

ONE MORE THING ,buyers DON'T just have pay-pal, they have a choice of insurance too, And other choices of paying for items. Stop trying to heard them into thinking that pay-pal is the only way to do business. We realize the you get paid to do damage control. Sellers and buyers talk to each other a lot, And do business OUTSIDE of pay-pal EVEN THOUGH WE MET ON E-BAY . Many of us have the same gripes and have become good friends & our only policy is HONESTY & not hidden agendas. Don't forget , ALL the sellers & buyers are or in some cases were customers of pay-pal. You have forgotten " THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT". FACE IT YOU ARE LOSING A LOT OF GOOD PEOPLE OVER THIS POLICY. We're not going to take it , anymore!

I'll let ebay educate you.

Hope you have signed up to be listed in the class action that was filed in May, has been getting national and internaitonal attention-check the webpage letssuepaypal.com and you will find the contact information, the law firm and phone number plus a copy of the complaint that has been filed. Names are still being added. There are many who love to say this is a waste of time and only the lawyers get rich. Depending on who prevails or if eBay settles the chances of any substantial monetary gain is slim however this is a matter of principle and a voidable user agreement. It may also drag on with eBay's legal team throwing up all of the legal roadblocks. At least this is a proactive move by sellers on these boards that are trying to effect change.

Hate to say this, but I am also buyer and at this point I wish they held my funds from the seller. He had my money in hand within a day and sold off the item to another buyer willing to pay more offline. I found out because I was suspicious and I recently found a blog he posted in. I went under an alias, and he replied me with the proof I needed to confirm my suspicions. I won the bid and paid $400 + $58 for shipping, and he sold it three days later for $550. He still has my money and has another item in his hand but he's not giving it up. Seller goes by the name Al-Nimer, don't ever, ever buy from this guy. Lots of people file claims against paypal and the hassle of waiting for fund transfers is bothersome to them. It is easier to hold the fund where it can go both ways at the end (back to buyer or to seller). As sellers you should want buyer satisfaction too.

I agree. I am new ebayer. I recently sold a ring to a woman. She paid using paypal. I shipped the $300 ring that she paid 50 for and now she is stating that she doesn't think its real. Now I am out a ring and out the money, because the funds are on hold. I think this is illegal and dishonest. A) I wish I had never signed up to sell, B) I wish I hadnt set my reserve so low, and C) I feel like I have been scammed and never will do business here again!
