Ok, let's face it, no matter how much we complain, PayPal is not going to stop their 21 day hold policy. The complaining has gone on for more than a year from what I have read. Many may not agree, but PayPal has a right to institute policy they believe will protect or enrich the business. My problem is that they do not offer a simple means for sellers to have the 21 day hold lifted when waranted. Right now, PayPal's answer to the many compalints is basically - if you don't like it, don't use PayPal - and although their are other money transmitters, PayPal is the most popular and directly associated with eBay. It does not seem to be beneficial for any of us to just stop using PayPal. However, it would seem to be very beneficial to stop selling on eBay until PayPal makes it easier to for us to have money released prior to the 21 day hold when warranted. By joining together and not selling on ebay, we can hit both ebay and PayPal in the pockets. eBay and PayPal need sellers just as much as they need buyers, there are other popular sites to sell on and alternatives to Paypal if need be. Of course, for this to work, we need numbers and some of the big sellers to be effective. Let's start with those being effected now. If all you are going to do is complain, then don't expect relief, they have a business to run and believe their policy is vital to their properity regardless of how it effects you. So, if you want to stop crying and start doing something about this issue, speak up and let it be known how many are on board? A simle "yes" in response to this idea will be sufficient.

Well. after a layoff from eBay for around 5 years, I finally got back on after losing my job. I have only sold mostly high-end items this time around. No more little penny ante knick knacks. Done about $10,000 in the last 5 months.
NEVER had to make a refund.
NEVER had a negative feedback - 100% positive all the way.
NEVER had a claim, chargeback, return, ect. filed on me.
I have used USPS click n' ship w/delivery confirmation number EVERY TIME I SHIPPED AN ITEM.
My DSR ratings are 5.0, 4.9, 4.9, and 5.0 - pretty darn good.
Well, today I received the dreaded "21 Day Hold" email.
Why? I think I can tell you.
You see, I don't use PayPal's stupid debit card. I alrerady have a debit card I use - FROM MY BANK.
Whenever I make a sale, as soon as the PayPal payment clears, it's off to my personal bank account. PayPal likes to draw interest off all your money that sits in their virtual vaults, and when you deny them this priveledge, they apparently get peeved and decide to hold your funds for 21 days.
Want to take action against PayPal? Don't stop using their service.
Instead, write down the names of your local senator, congressman, mayor, ect., all the way up to The President of The United States.
Then write them all a nice letter that describes how PayPal acts just like a banking institution, yet is SUBJECT TO NO FEDERAL LEGISLATION THAT "NORMAL" BANKS ARE FORCED TO ABIDE BY.
I'm going to begin writing mine right now, and I encourage all of you who have been wronged by this company to do the same.

I agree, we do need to contact our legislature and the news papers and the TV NEWS media! We need to hit the world with the illegal operation of Ebay and PayPal and their 'money grabbing' actions so they can earn interest on our money. Lets all send this info to the national News Stations and to our legislature representatives. Lets all do it! NOW!
I contacted my lawyer and it is illegal for PayPal or Ebay to hold the money you were paid! This is wide open for a BIG CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT! They are making mucho% interest on money we can't get our hands on. I will sell my CURRENT stock and END all activity with ebay after 8 years of 100% Feedback (I still have 100% feedback). Per my lawyer, Ebay/PayPal have no right to hold ALL our money, they may have some legal right to hold ONLY the money associated with the BUYER who marked less than 5 Stars BUT EVEN THAT IS IFFY. I sold 5 items to one person who marked all 5 not as described, she had only 15 feedbacks and I took a risk, she did NOT want to return them for a refund. So I am stuck with her 'not happy with any item she purchased' attitude. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY WRONG! The buyer is the one PAYING EBAY and we have NO consideration nor protection from EBAY! I hope someone does file a Class Action suit and Ebay/PayPal has to pay us INTEREST on the money they are holding!
Also, I want to leave Ebay and PayPal Feedback for their activity! Why can't we do that????? Fed UP!
It seems like I have read that exact same peice of giberish all about the forums, whats the point? we get it your Fed UP!
