You said that eBay was not involved in the transaction, so I am curious which site was your sale was done through? And are you sure that canceling the shipping label is what triggered the hold? Some of the facts (#1 & #4) I listed were based on what a PayPal agent told me, but others (#2 & #3) were based on what happened to me personally. For example, when I tried to print a shipping label through PayPal, I was told funds would be withdrawn from my bank account. However, when I used eBay's label printing instead ( I do not like it at all - thats why I never used it until now), I was given the option to take the shipping fee out of my PayPal account once the funds were released. This is actually contradicted right in PayPal's info page below, so I KNOW not all of the info on PayPal's site is correct, and therefore, it's not surprising that an agent might give incorrect info as well. You know, eBay owns PayPal, and both of them, along with BillMeLater are INFAMOUS for pointing their fingers at each other. I would not be surprised if this deviousness was not a joint effort. If you look at the following links, (hopefully, if they take you to page I intended), you will see that their information regarding the holds is very similar, but not exactly the same. It annoys me that the first reason give is having a sub-standard account. That is BS and NOT TRUE, at least not in my case, nor with most of the people I have encountered. I'm rambling, annoyed and my paragraphs are going to all run together again, so I am stopping now. *****HAPPY THANKSGIVING ALL***** ~~ Sharon <a target="_blank" href="https://cms.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/?cmd=_render-content&content_ID=security/ebay_payments_learn_more">https://cms.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/?cmd=_render-content&content_ID=security/ebay_payments_learn_more</a> <a target="_blank" href="http://pages.ebay.com//sellerinformation/howtosell/acceptingpayments/fundsavailability_lmtdexp.html">http://pages.ebay.com//sellerinformation/howtosell/acceptingpayments/fundsavailability_lmtdexp.html</a> Hi sm1715, Yes, I am aware that eBay owns PayPal, that's why I decided not to sell on eBay and there are many more that have joined in. It might sound ludicrous, but we figure eventually the Board of Directors will realize a loss of revenue because sellers use other sites. Ofcourse, eBay has been losing profit share for some time now. If it weren't for Paypal, they would have an even larger loss. Anywho, I sell on webstore.com - it's free to list and free to sell - but it doesn't have the buyer traffic that eBay has (YET). webstore.com is ranked #2 and closing. Once other sites like webstore and ebid take hold, buyers will have to go where the sellers are, and it won't be ebay. Paypal is in store for a surprise also once buyers are directed to these other sites. Am I angry? Am I frustrated? No. In the words of John Lennon "I'm just sitting here watching the wheels go round and round" Happy Thanksgiving.
