Trying to link bank account, told to contact support.

Hi, I am trying to link my US bank account to paypal since I can't transfer my paypal balance to my card, but when I put in my routing and account numbers I am told to contact paypal in order to add my bank account. (My paypal was made outside of the US if that can cause a problem). How can I fix this?

As you haven't added your country to your profile (so we can see when we hover over your username) or said in your post which country you are in so unfortunately its hard for us to advise.
Paypal varies a great deal country to country so you need to tell us where you are on this worldwide community forum.

I understand your concern about linking your US bank account and sorry to know that you're facing issues to transfer funds. Unfortunately, there are some banks that are not compatible with PayPal, including most online or virtual, prepaid bank accounts. If your bank is a traditional account, kindly reach out to our customer support team through the available contact options on our website. 

For your country to withdraw funds, only a Visa card can be used. If you have already linked the card but there is an issue, it means our security program considers a variety of factors at each transaction/activity to keep you safe. Any activity can often be blocked or declined if we detect any unusual or suspicious activity or not safe for your account in the future. In this case, please try again at a later time.
