How to permanently remove an account

I've closed an account I was using. Completely shut down. No more account. I've taken this card off several times, I've unmarked it as main card, I've marked new card as main, again every day I'm having to remove it and retry payment. I want it to be permanently gone. This declined transaction because of a card and account I've removed several times is very annoying. I've followed all steps through app and website. Please help

Did you update saved automatic payments settings with various merchants because Preferred Payment Methods settings do not control recurring payments, bill agreements and subscriptions.

 

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Click the Payments tab.
  3. Click Manage Automatic Payments.
  4. Click the merchant.
  5. On this page, you can cancel the automatic payment and change the backup funding source.

Afterwards, clear browser cache and cookies, then restart device, too.
