how long it will take to release the hold money?

I made a transaction through my Paypal account on 23.07.2023. My transaction was successful on the same day. But the amount was deducted from my debit card on 25.07.2023. The amount I transferred is still on hold. I talked with the Bank manager. They said that it is a merchant hold and they are unable to release the hold. Now I am unable to use my debit card due to the hold (The available fund in my account shows as an overdraft). The digital banking platform shows that the hold will expire on 07.10.2023. Cann't I use my debit card until the hold is released? Please help me.

Welcome to the PayPal Community Forum. I'm sorry a recent transaction hasn't gone quite as you had expected. I can certainly understand your concern here. It sounds like what you're seeing on your banks end is an authorization which normally falls off as the transaction is finalized and fully captured by the merchant. If the authorization doesn't fall off right away, it may take 2-3 business days for it to release. If it doesn't, we'd recommend reaching out to our Customer Support teams to see what the next step may be.
