I transferred fund in USD from my bank account in Hong Kong to my paypal wallet with primary currency set to USD. I expected the fund to show up in USD in the wallet but Paypal automatically converted it to HKD, at an unfavourable converstion rate and possibly with a transaction fee too. Is it possible to avoid this automatic conversion?

Hello @kahoyu,
Welcome to PayPal Community Forum and thank you for posting!
I understand your concern about the currency conversion. Kindly be advised when you withdraw money from your PayPal account, the transfer will automatically get converted to the primary currency of the country to which your PayPal account is registered. Whenever there is currency conversion performed, there will be fee charged, please take a look at this Help Center Article to know more information about fees.
Regards,
Ayesha
