The last 4 withdrawals from my PayPal account did not go to my bank account.

Hi, I'm new on the forum, although I've been using PayPal for 13 years. I've never had a problem with PayPal, but my last 4 withdrawals from my PayPal account didn't go to my bank account. Although I received confirmation from PayPal that the payment went through. The oldest withdraw was on October 11, i.e. 14 days ago. I called to the bank and they assured me that the problem must be on the side of PayPal or the payment gateway. I tried to solve it on PayPal through the "resolution center", but there they wrote to me without any explanation that it was not an unauthorized transaction and that the case is closed... I have no idea what to do. The money disappeared from my PayPal account but didn't reach my to bank account...

Unfortunately for me this means that I can no longer use PayPal and I will use another method of money transfer with my clients.

@JanStindl exactly, I quickly verified another service in October, once was clear the September withdrawal is lost and support was no help. If issue was taken seriously by support and solved within a month I'd easily forgive.. sht happens, could've been 1 poor programmer, who caused it. But this lengthy situation and whole support approach speaks for itself. OP with 4 withdrawals lost lolz wth, I knew I cannot risk another transfer. How they will lure users back, even zero fees for victims will not help, u can't buy trust. Withdrawals would now always be full of doubts, like lending money to a friend... you never know if u have the money in your wallet after 3 days, or after 3 months, or year. That is worst fail for a money transfer company, if this issue gets viral or gets article in news, it would be wake up call for Paypal..

Hello @petule, @eveningsailor, @Bingotwilight, @Tereza_CZ, @hoxley, and everyone else,

Thank you for visiting PayPal's Community Forum. I can certainly understand how a withdrawal taking longer than usual can be quite concerning and frustrating. Normally, it does take 3-5 business days for a bank transfer to completed. After a bit of research, it does look like this issue has been reported to the proper teams for additional review and action. Unfortunately, I do not have any kind of estimated time of resolution or any updates on this issue at this time. If we receive any updates we are able to share, we'll be sure to update this thread.

If you haven't already, please reach out to our Customer Support teams to report your withdrawal has not completed on time. Here's a Help Center article on How to reach our Customer Support.

My apologies for any inconvenience this has created,

 - Jon K

Dear Jon K, although we appreciate joining our thread with somebody from PAYPAL staff, you didn't say anything we didn't know...
It seems that one small problem with @hoxley starting grow into something more...

Poor @hoxley havent got money 1 month.. (may be more) and i fully understand his angry answers...

There is ONLY ONE answer to your comment: Imagine yourself, that employer told you that they won't give you an earn this month and that they don't know when you'll get it .....

Thats all.

Searching this site and finding so many flaws on how paypal treated many of you was of great help regarding my investment decisions. Thanck you guys and I really hope paypal cleans up his acts, otherwise it sure will go the way the Dodo did.

Hi Kavar

The same thing has happened to me. I withdrew money from my PayPal account and it never arrived to my bank account, I went to my bank and they showed me a transfer from PayPal for 11,300Kc that omitted the first 3 numbers of my bank account even though the correct numbers are stored with PayPal as I have performed this transaction every month successfully for a year. The bank of course rejected the transfer. A PayPal customer service agent said that there had been numerous complaints of the same type in Czech Republic around October 19.2023. Since then PayPal tracers, have found nothing and have been terrible at communicating. I have tried to escalate the issue 4 times with Customer service and get the same response even though my bank provided them with account number that they rejected the payment and sent the back money to.

Yes, exactly. My bank told me the same thing. PayPal confirms the completion of the transfer from their interface, but the payment arrives at our bank in the wrong format  (incomplete account number) and our bank returns it to PayPal´s bank. So our money is rotting in their bank account. They should immediately trace it and return it to our dashboards.

It is unbelievable that it takes so long. It should be normally routed within 2-3 business days. Some of us are missing salary for the whole month. We have other payments tight to it, like mortgage installment. I simply don´t understand why they don´t see it as a huge reputation problem.

Hi Terka, I must say KB was very very unhelpful in my case, they keep repeating same thing as PayPal does and as a bonus they don´t want to give me any kind of proof about PayPal payment return basically they tell me " help yourself" and I´m very tired of explaining it over and over again to support 😞

The only message I have for CZ residents with this problem meanwhile problem gets solved to get money out of your PayPal - please use different bank for next withdrawal, I tested it with my moms account at Ceska sporitelna, Reiffeisen bank works too, it went smooth in one day.

Otherwise no news about lost  funds from me tho.

Sorry to read that. But you know what? The information about where the money went, is absolutely useless. I keep repeating it to PayPal support but with no success. They need to check it with my bank themselves. So I told them what happened and where to find the money and still no action. What more could they possibly want?

Yes, the banks you mentioned work because their accounts do not have the code numbers (předčíslí). It seems like only accounts with code numbers were affected.

I am stressed to the maximum by now 😞

Hi everybody, thanks a lot for sharing your stories. I also saw some new threads about this issue in the forum.

My news: I gave PayPal my bank statement, that I really did not receive the money. I got a long and sympathetic reply saying that they understood my predicament and that they were sending the whole matter to the bank for investigation. But that´s the thing! My bank confirmed that PayPal used an incomplete bank account number and that is why they sent it back to PayPal´s bank! It is not possible that PayPal does not know about it.

It makes me sick, it was my monthly salary. Such a reputable company... I don´t get it.
