Hi All As I wrote last time I got the money transfer back, I see that other did as well. When Paypal automatically charged me a fee for the returned transfer its because they have not corrected the problem with bank account numbers like KB bank. The system just thinks its customer error. I called customer service and the gent there refunded the 200Kc fee. I then sent 100Kc last week test to KB to see if it arrived and it hasn't so there is still a problem and anyone transferring will continue to have this problem. I have now sent to Cesky Sporitena and I am waiting to see if it arrives. Paypal IT needs to issue a bulletin to all customers with KB like account numbers telling them not to transfer money until its resolved but they wont do it. Well well just checked the fees table and for a non-withdrawal transfer with the wrong bank number they charge 200Kc. So folks yes they really are going there. Attempting to shift the entire blame even after customer service was provided with copies of the wrong bank number transfer to KB bank AND a copy of the account number they have in their own system. Absolutely clear they simply ommitted the numbers, and still charged a fee hoping to get the customer to pick up the tab.  ... View more

Hello Everyone, I just check my account and money is restored into my paypal account. They seemed to have charged me 200Kc as they didnt refund the whole amount. So question here is are they trying to monitize their error and make like it was customer error? Very naughty Paypal. Just enough to make it a hassle to try and collect. Hi All Its been a week since I posted, I have been following the other comments. I thought I would give Paypal the week to sort things as the clerk at our branch at KB in Pardubice knows about this problem. She said that a person had their money returned after 3 weeks missing. It gave me a thread of hope, but now one week on with no responses from anyone at paypal after 10 calls to the customer service explaining over and over the first 3 missing numbers of the bank account problem, I can predict that he must have been one of the first where it occured and it was corrected. Then as 100s of transfers were bounced back to the Unicredit account for Paypal, they just threw their hands up in the air and went dark on us. No one really knows what they are doing, but they have to know there is possibly millions of Kc sitting mysteriously with no owners. They can't legally keep it as they have no expalination how they earned it. Maybe IT folks are working on it?  Again no one knows as Paypal is staying very quiet. They believe stealth mode is the better crisis management response than coming out to customers that there's a problem in Paypal's system.  ... View more

Bad form Kernowlass, dozens likely 100s of people are missing their money. Most of us are waking up to what has happened. Paypal transfered money omitting numbers from the bank account that they have on file. For me it was KB bank. It seems lots of us are in the Czech Republic. You can see this from the threads. PayPal, I am 100% positive, knows this and is keeping quiet about it because they know it was a big mistake and there are hundreds of transaction gone awry and a lot of money just rotting in their account. You slapping a cut and paste talking about 3-5 days when this is clearly not the case, its weeks and weeks, puts a tarnish on your title Esteemed Advisor. There is a lot of money missing, entire salaries of people, we need action and pressure applied to paypal not to customer service agents who are helplessly left to provide cover for the real culprits.  ... Hi Aysha What happens then, if you have proof that PayPal sent a transfer from your PayPal account to your bank, in my case KB bank, and your bank provided you with the transfer that clearly shows PayPal has omitted the first 3 numbers of your account rendering it impossible for them to allocate the funds and then provides you with the account that it was shipped back to. What if then you have provided this information to 4 customer service agents (including PayPal account number) from PayPal with 1 of them admitting that there was some system errors in Czech Rebulic around October 19.2023. And finally what if there is absolutely no response from PayPal, even though from threads here on the forum, this has happend to dozens possibly hundreds of other poor souls. What then?  ... I completely agree. I have spoken to agents many times I even provided the account that KB bank rejected the money to. It is [Removed. Phone #s not permitted]and this account is registered to PayPal PTE Ltd. There is likely 1000 of euros sitting in that account and Paypal is trying to figure out what to do but saying nothing I can only imagine the number of transactions just in Czech Republic where I am that have their money missing. I have had only one Irish Customer service agent admit that this happened over the period of October 19.2023. I am missing over 11.300Kc  ... View more
