PayPal automatic payment charged wrong credit card.

I have configured automatic payment on my PayPal account and it's being in used for a long while (at least almost a year). Somehow, for the last month transactions, 2 of such transactions were charged against wrong credit card. I double check my automatic payment setting and it seems that the setting was, and still is, already correct.

I tried to check other setting in case PayPal has some kind of "Backup payment method" in case the configured credit card transaction failed, but couldn't find such setting in my account.

Anyone experienced similar issue?

I just noticed that AT LEAST since August it has swapped my Preferred (Credit Card) and Backup (Bank Account) when charging me through eBay.

PayPal is fighting me over this, even though as you can plainly see this isn't an isolated incident. I've also seen other posts.

I would check out things a few times someone could be hacking or utilizing your technology. It doesn't sound on the level. Maybe a gut feeling? I honestly can't say.

I just had a payment swap without my knowledge. I didn't even know it was setup as a automatic payment. I went through the website to pay, and I selected my payment, and PayPal just used a different credit card. Very frustrating. I would have preferred to have the payment just decline.
