Pay in 4 issue - double authorisation upon exiting checkout before finished

I'm just having a pay in 4 issue. During checkout I accidently exited, and paypal took one of the 4 payments, then after actually completing checkout the same payment went through again. both of the 2 charges have been taken out of my bank acocunt, but on the paypal summary page only one has been authorised and counted towards the 4 payments. The first charge from me closing the checkout window for the website i was browsing on is still stuck in the authorisation, saying it will be charged when paypal makes the payment, but this has already happened with the successful second charge. Can i expect this first charge (stuck on authorisation) to go back into my bank account, or will i be out the money?

I do understand that you have issue with your Pay in 4/ Pay in 3 option. Please reach out to the Support Team during business hours by clicking the contact us option at the bottom of PayPal page to get help with your issue. If your unable to login or are not in access of your PayPal account, you can connect with us via phone call as "as a Guest" (this does not require you to sign in to your PayPal account).
