Been trying for two days to make a purchase on Mercari, which I've done before, using Paypal. For some reason now every time I try to pay with Paypal it comes up 'transaction failed'. Doesn't matter whether I use my credit card or bank account, both of which have no problems with them.
Yeah, I'm having the same issue. Accepted an offer and trying to checkout with PayPal and I get that same error message. I contacted the seller about this issue, see if they know anything.
Alright, I decided to download the app to my phone and tried to checkout again, and guess what? It finally worked! So I guess the "solution" we have is to simply download the app and make your purchase from there, so with that said, good luck everyone!
I've been having this same issue as well. It took me a bit of trial and error but I got my PayPal to work by deleting it from my account, then cleared the cache in my apps settings on my phone not in the app) and re-added my PayPal to my Mercari account and sent an offer again. It ended up going through. Not sure if it worked by just deleting and re-adding it or if clearing the cache along with it helped. But hopefully this helps others!
