when transferring money it says immediately then once you press go it says the funds will take up to 72 hours!! this must be illegal? paypal have ruined mine and my children's Christmas!! i hate paypal and their lying customer service employees who are trained to lie!! your money will be in your account at 9am tomorrow! liars! the security check has been removed your money transfers will be immediate from now on!! liars!! I have written to bbc watch dog, this is the worst experience i have ever had with any company or organisation in all my 48 years of life!! someone needs to teach these lying thieving cheats a lesson!!

Some of you people may accept the 72 hour hold but i will not as i am awake!! Number one, it takes seconds to complete an electronic transfer, number two paypal are using your money to make money, wake up people! the money leaves you paypal account then reappears in your bank no less than 72 hour later! YOUR BANK, the bank you have confirmed with paypal as being YOURS! Wow it is daylight robbery!

Then don't use PayPal problem solved. Funds don't fly through the wifi. It has to go through checks/review and clearing houses and bank interchanges. Everyone has to anoint the money first before it gets to your account. It is what it is. I don't get suckered in for that funds transferred in 30 mins or whatever time they say so I'll have no stress. And never have...yet lol because I plan my withdraws ahead of time and it's always when you need something to be where it needs to be is when it isn't. Such as life.

PayPal is as fraudulent as it gets and they have good lawyers to cover up their money transferring scam. PayPal is useing your money to collect on the interest they say that their not but we all no better

Sadly you are wrong, transfers from bank accounts are never instant as paypal use the slowest (because its the cheapest) transfer option that goes in batches via ACH.

That is why we have confused buyers on here stating there item has been despatched but the funds have not left their bank account yet, this is because Paypal credit the seller the funds upfront and paypal wait for the funds transfer, this is so there is no delay in the despatch of your item.

So if you withdraw those funds immediately paypal 'sometimes' put on a delay to allow the buyers funds to play 'catch-up'. Even your bank will confirm that timescale.

I tend to use my credit card as a funding source and the funds don't leave my credit card (i use online banking so can view) until at least 4 days later.

In the Uk withdrawls are instant. &2 hour holds are paypal policy only.

I was told by the untrained robot that i soke to that because the amounts i withdraw each time are different thats a security risk???????

I am an occaisional seller on ebay of personal items that vaery in value hence the different  transfer amounts

Unbelievable dear... This can't be like this. I'm so sorry for you Christmas ruined and hope everyone report them. Paypall use people money for more interest. They don't care about you, me or anybody else. Obs:Is not up to 72 hrs!!! It is 72 hrs includind minutes. **bleep**!!!
