You should contact PayPal asap to get the transaction reversed when you randomly receive an unsolicited goods and services payment to prevent unnecessary transaction fees/dispute fees.
> Should I have to refund the money if someone randomly sends me money as a gift
If you randomly received a friends and family (gift) payment, you can open the transaction to safely issue a refund to prevent the hassle/cost of a chargeback and money getting into the wrong hands. If you do nothing and the sender does nothing, the money could be yours after 180 days.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
