I am currently living in the USA. I linked my bank of America bank account to my paypal and transferred funds to my bank account. It is showing transaction complete but this was 15 days ago and it is not yet deposited in my accounts. Is it possible to reverse the transaction asi am about to start a trace on this. I think the issue might be that my account was originally ipened in South africa but i was not aware that this was a problem. The account in america had veen verified etc

Paypal is country specific so if you move countries you have to open another paypal account in the country you reside in and add an address / phone number / bank accounts / cards from within that country.

You should really withdraw any funds / resolve issues / remove cards and bank accounts / cancel any subscriptions and close the old Paypal account before you move countries. If you don't then you may have problems doing so once you have moved and may need to contact customer services for help to resolve things.

You can however in some countries add a U.S bank account (not card) to your paypal account. This is because paypal is a U.S company.
If you have that option then it should show in your paypal wallet.

I did link the bank account and not a card. The bank account was verified by the 2 small debits that were deducted and the account is showing as verified on my system. I am only to happy to close my pay pal account and redo the whole thing in the USA but I can't do this until my funds are secured either through a refund or a trace.

Hello @KimGill and @kernowlass

Thanks for posting in the Community!

I'm sorry to hear you haven't received your transfer, @KimGill. Since it has been more than two weeks and you still haven't received the transfer, I recommend reaching out to Customer Support for assistance filing a trace. You can contact Customer Support by clicking 'Contact' at the bottom of any PayPal page. Support is also available if you send a DM to @AskPayPal on Twitter or a PM to facebook.com/PayPal. After the trace is complete and the funds are located, I agree with @kernowlass; it would be best to close the account and reopen it in the country where you currently live.

I hope you're able to file the trace soon!
