My card had a fraudulent transaction so was cancelled. It was linked to my PayPal account I want to return an item. How will the money be refunded if that card is no longer in use?

Hi @Ccarol_Daisy80.
I see you are referring to the refund for expired card. Due to banking regulations, refunds are credited to the card originally used to make the payment. Your card issuer will credit your card balance within 30 days from the date of the refund. If the card you paid with is closed or invalid, the money will still be refunded to your credit card account.
To receive the refund, please contact your card issuer.
Thank you- Priya

Hello, I am in the same situation. PayPal states that the refund has been completed and provided a reference number but the card issuer cannot locate these funds. I am going back and forth between PayPal & the bank with no results!
