Payment types not allowed for payment to PayPal wallet?

Has anyone found their only payment types are not allowed for payments to their PayPal wallet? I tried to add money on the website as my wallet was in negative figures but apparently neither my bank account nor my debit card are acceptable. Which is an issue as I don't have other options.

Another way is to buy something and the negative balance will be added to the purchase total prior to finalizing payment at checkout.

Unfortunately, it's not adding my outstanding balance to the total this time. It has definitely done it before, but just not this time. Maybe it doesn't do that anymore for Irish users

Ways to clear a negative balance.

1. Transfer funds from your bank account via the add funds function.

2. The quickest and easiest way is to get a mate or family member to send a payment via the friends / family option. As long as they don't fund it with a card it should be free.

3. Via a card over the phone with paypal.

4. Buy something and Paypal will normally add the debt to that payment during checkout when you authorise the purchase.

Thanks! I meant to close this yesterday 🤦🏻‍♀️ I tried options 1 and 4, but they didn't work, option 2 didn't even occur to me (I'll keep that in mind if I need to again). I was about to try option 3 when I realised I could add my Revolut virtual card and that worked out thankfully 😊
