I have never used PAYPAL before but my friend in the USA wanted to help my efforts in the Czech Republic with Ukrainian refugees
He sent 250 USD which is now on hold... PAYPAL are treating me like a vendor of products... not a recipient of a funds
How long do you think this will be on hold?

Here’s how to add tracking information or change the order status:
- Go to your Activity.
- Find the transaction you would like to update, then click Get your money.
- If you sold a product, select Product to add tracking information or print shipping label directly.
- If you received payment that does not require shipping, sold an intangible item or service, select Service or virtual product to confirm order status.
- Click Submit.
You'll get your money 7 days after confirming the order status as Completed.
You may even ask sender to ‘confirm receipt’ after 48 hrs, here’s how:
- Click Activity at the top of the page.
- Find and click the original payment for the item.
- Click Confirm receipt.
- Click Yes to confirm that you received the order.
This hold happens if:
- sender forget to select friends and family option when they pay or cannot send a friends and family payment, only goods and services payment.
- your account is new at receiving goods and services payments
- haven’t received payments in a long time or unusual activity for your account
- because PayPal detects high value or highly risky transactions
- change in products/services being sold
- received numerous complaints, disputes from customers or other users

Hello, after 180 days of account limitation, for reasons that still no email or phone have been able to explain, I contacted support in order to withdraw my funds on the amount of $34,800 USD, because every time I attempted to do it keep getting the same error: "Sorry something went wrong please try again later", this happened with all options of withdraw available on the account . "Everything looks ok on our side, your account still limited but you should be able to withdraw the funds please try again at a different time, allow the system to refresh itself", was the answer i received on the next 4 calls over a period of 2 weeks.
After 2 weeks I called and they explained it needed to be escalated the issue to some security team and ask me to wait 72 hours to 5 days. Upon receiving email that the funds were available to withdraw I call again since the error kept showing on the account and got an answer from employee id#1571728 explaining that nobody previously escalated the issue that she would take care personally and provided ticket #REF_GI_70993 with the promise that will receive a call. 5 more days later I call back since nobody contacted and the issue still showing. I got same apology and another ticket # and employee id#
1670161.
43 days later same modus operandi it's been happening, apparently everything it's ok with my account but nobody on paypal knows why I can't get my funds. For security reasons and in order to protect the account "from the owner", I'm supposed to just wait with no timeframe or real answer from support.
My question to the community is: Is Paypal a Fraud? Should I take legal actions?

Request that they send you a check in the post instead?

Hi, thanks for the answer. I already did and after a representative confirmed that it'll be process and within 10 days I'll receive it. 2 hours later I receive an email saying the request was denied.

Then as long as you are over 18 + you live in the same country where your paypal account is registered + account is in your legal name I personally would seek legal advice?
