I have recently place two orders with my PayPal account and they are both awaiting authorization as my preferred method of payment is my debit card. But the thing is I would like to cancel one of the transaction as it was placed by mistake. I tried to cancel it following PayPal's instruction in their help section but when I select the transaction I don't have a cancel button to click on. I would cancel my method of payment so it doesn't go through but as I said I have two orders awaiting and I don't want to lose both of them I just want to cancel one. So if you have any advice as of what I could do to cancel the transaction it would be much appreciated as I am kind of out of resources here.

hello @cameliec
two things to know for this question
Some payments can be reversed, others cannot. You can only void a pending payment that appears as Uncollected, meaning it has not reached the recipient. A Cancel button is available next to this payment type.
From your PayPal app, here's how to cancel a pending payment:
Tap View Activity.
Select the payment you want to cancel.
Tap Cancel payment.
From your computer, here's how:
On the Activity page, find the pending payment.
Click Cancel.
On the next page, click Cancel payment.
If a payment is "Completed", it means that the money has already reached the other party. It therefore cannot be undone.
You can always request a refund from the recipient. If you're denied a refund when you believe you're entitled to it, you can report a dispute to discuss it with the seller via the Dispute Manager*. If this does not lead to a solution, you can turn your dispute into a claim for PayPal to find a solution, if necessary.

and
If you need to cancel an order or PayPal authorization on your account, contact the seller directly. An order or authorization is a contract between you and the seller to purchase an item for a set amount, and PayPal does not have the ability to void that contract.
To find the contact details of the seller:
Click Activity at the top of the page.
Click on the transaction in your list of recent transactions.
On the Transaction Details page, you'll see the seller's name, email address, and, if available, customer service phone number.
Additional Information :
Orders and authorizations generally expire after 30 days.
Authorizations can also be placed for an upcoming purchase, such as a hotel stay or reservation. This type of authorization will not be processed until you arrive.
