I paid for an item on ebay using PayPal,the money was deducted but the seller never received the payment,and there is no trace of the transaction on PayPal,I thought it was safer to use PayPal,little didn't I know it was the worst, €171 gone just like that,have tried to reach but nothing, no email nothing, Have contacted my bank and the money was successful sent to PayPal

Welcome to the community and thank you for your post. 

I do understand your concern with this. Based on what you have explained, it sounds like you may have checkout as a guest when using PayPal. This would be why you cannot locate the transaction in your PayPal account. 

When you made the transaction using eBay, you would have received an order confirmation from them. This is the confirmation that the seller received your payment and order. The reference number on the eBay email can be used for the seller to locate your order. If you cannot locate this email, I would advise you to check your eBay account.
