How accurate is the Paypal currency conversion shown in wallet? Tried calculating it myself and get 3 different answers in same day.

Welcome to the PayPal Community! I'm sorry to hear you're running into some issues with the currency conversion calculator. I did pull the following info from the article Where can I find PayPal's currency calculator and exchange rates?
"We receive a wholesale rate quote from our bank twice a day and add a percentage to determine the retail foreign exchange rate to apply to transactions that involve a currency conversion."
That could account for different rates at different times in the day. I hope that clears things up!

Reason asked is due to the fact many of the rates I have got are well below even the BOC rate. Example today I just now went to currency calculator, punched in $259.99 US and it spit back $322.00CDN That is suppose to include fees. Yet Bank Of Canada Calculator has it at $334.53.
So I guess I am asking, why the discrepancy?
