Hi I have received a payment in dollars which is to be converted to GBP on withdrawl to a UK bank account. Although the conversion rate is fine the additional charges seem excessive. After conversion I would be charged £76 on a $1000 transaction - is this correct?

Hi @Julie-h1968,
Welcome to the PayPal Community and thank you for your post!
I do understand your concern with this. PayPal does not charge a fee to withdraw funds to your bank account.
If you are seeing a fee, this would be the currency conversion fee. Currently, the currency conversion rate is - 3% above the base exchange rate. For a full breakdown, please click here.
If you have any further concerns, please don't hesitate to contact our Customer Support.
I hope this helps!
- Rachel
