Can't complete Transaction on Android

When completing a transaction from Ebay app on android I am sent to Paypal web app and I get an endless loop saying Thanks for using Paypal. My Transaction NEVER goes through. Why is this and also why can't I be sent to the actual PayPal app??

You do know this is a user to user community advice forum mainly manned by volunteers don't you?

I'm not having a go. It had to be completed today. This has happened before and I was sent to this forum. I've been with PayPal a long time but the app has gradually got worse. I had no problems before.
