Awaiting fund (transaction) to be claimed cannot be found

Hi.

So basically I have completed a research in university and they're giving out compensations through Paypal.

I received the email about awaiting fund, but the fund is no where to be found in here.

I contacted the message center and they ask for a transaction ID, which I have no idea what it is. I ask for additional help and they just close the conversation without answering at all (I guess that's how customer service works nowadays).

So basically I have no idea where the awaiting fund is, nor the place to find the transaction ID.

Thanks in advance!

Hello @MagnificentDonu and @006marwin,

It's definitely important for you to receive any payments sent to you.

It sounds like you're dealing with unclaimed payments. Payments can be unclaimed for a few reasons but the most common reasons are:

  1. Your email address hasn't been confirmed.
  2. The email address was entered incorrectly by the sender.

The linked article above will list additional reasons payments go unclaimed.

You may want to check to ensure you have a confirmed email address. I also recommend reaching out to the sender of the payment and having them check the details of the payment.

Unclaimed payments will be reversed and cancelled once the payment has been in an unclaimed status for 30 days.

I hope this helps!
