An Unknown Automatic Payment on My New Account

I received an email tonight told me that I was charged for 16 USD to an account and it says it was an automatic payment. It is confusing because I just created my paypal account today afternoon and I haven't set up any automatic payment. I haven't even confirm the email address when I received that email. And I checked the card linked to the paypal account, there was indeed an unknown payment at the same time I received that email. How can I get some help please? I don't know if my account got hacked.

I am sorry this has happened and I can understand your concern.

It sounds like you may have inadvertently set up a billing agreement or subscription with this company and that is why the payment was taken.

You can check any subscriptions here: https://www.paypal.com/uk/smarthelp/article/how-do-i-cancel-an-automatic-payment-i-have-with-a-merch... You can also cancel its from that link.
