Hi. We have a regular subscription payment that has become bigger than our credit card limit, and I wondered if I was able to add a positive balance to my Paypal account so that it could be used to cover the payment on a regular basis. I thought it was straightforward in concept, but can't seem to find any guidance on whether this is possible or allowed.

Hi @seannetsafe,
Welcome to the community and thank you for your post!
I do understand your concern. Unless you have specified otherwise, your PayPal balance will be charged before your bank/card, however, the funds must be available in your PayPal balance.
I would suggest you check the subscription payment in your PayPal account to ensure you don't have a primary bank/card chosen for the payment.
To check this, simply follow the steps here. If you don't have a primary bank/card chosen, you should see 'We'll use your balance first. Then we'll use:' beside the payment.
I hope this helps!
