Money not taken from my bank account after payment completeion

I made a purchase on Ebay early this morning. Recieved a email (from pay pal) saying purchase was completed and reflected the amount of purchase on my paypal account. The thing is no money has been taken from my bank account which is linked and confirmed to Ebay. There isnt even anything pending on my bank accounts ledger. I have made two other pay pal purchases (not from ebay, this is my first ebay purchase) previously and they always almost immediatley showed a withdrawl of funds from my bank account. So im trying to figure out whats wrong. And please forgive me, i am brand new to pay bal and Ebay.

Also--welcome to PayPal and eBay! 

I would start by looking in your PayPal account at the transaction itself.  Please click on the details button--this should pull up the information to tell you where the funds were debited from. 

If you have a bank and a credit card on your account, we will send the payment as an "Instant transfer".  This is basically, PayPal fronting the money to the merchant, while the funds are still processing on the backend. 

If this is the case--then it's possible that the debit just hasn't hit your bank yet.
